I have this blow dryer at my station at work and the power is much better. Did not like this one at all. Not sure how it could be so different. Do not buy.

I would not recommend this to anyone.

The qaulity is terrible and it does not work anything like the real one!

I bought this for a friend of mine for her birthday because she liked mine so much. I bought mine at ulta and have had it for almost two years with no problems. I bought hers here and hers has stopped working already and it has been less than a year. I thouhgt it might have just been hers until I read the other comments with the same problem.

ive had this for a few months, and since i use it all day every day, i needed a light, quiet, and durable dryer. it is all of those things, and i love this. and im the only one to have an ed hardy dryer in my salon.

UPDATE: something is wrong with the internal wiring. you have to hold the dryer cord JUST right otherwise it shuts off. worked for about 6 months.... then this happened....

Love this iron. I use it on my slightly damp hair when I get to work(I don't have time after my shower to get to work). 10 minutes and I have straight hair from curly damp hair! The straight stays all day even if I sweat a little. My hair would curl up a bit around my forehead when I used my chi! I would definitely suggest this iron for people on the go with little time to blow dry and then straighten. Also works on dry hair!

After reasearching this product for a while, I received it two years ago as a Christmas present. At the time, I would have given it five stars. It halved my hair straightening time, and it left my hair long and silky. Then about six months later, I was taking advantage of the wet-to-dry feature and it electrocuted me! I could feel a pulse of electricity going through my thumb, where I was holding the straigtener over the control panel. That was the last time I straightened my hair wet. It worked great until today, when I went to go straighten my hair and I heard an electrical sounding noise, and it did not turn on. If this was a $10 straightener from Walmart, I wouldn't care, but as this straightener cost me $150 from flatironexperts.com, I am very upset, considering the warranty is only one year limited, so I can't return it. Good thing I'm going to Walmart tomorrow. Hopefully I can get a cheap one that works. Don't buy this product. It works great, but it's shelf life is not worth the money.

After using it for about a week. The digital numbers started at 450 but now it only goes up to 230. I'm not to happy for I paid 169.00 for it. It's not worth sending it back. And yes, it dose pull the hair a bit. It still dries my hair and does it's job, but not as good as the first week. It's not what I expected...

Great product. Does not actually dry my long/thick wet hair but does speed up drying damp hair considerably !! So glad I have this product in my arsenal.

I did an extensive search before buying a flat iron and finally decided to get the Wet to Dry Avanti from Flat Iron Experts. It works great, however I feel that it pulls the ends of my hair sometimes a little bit but I believe that it has to do with the way I am using/holding it. It can be used with your hair wet (takes longer) or on semi-wet hair, which I think its better because it is faster and my hair gets super straight and soft and pretty shiny. I believe its worth the price. What do other reviewers think?

PYT Ceramic Pro Styling Tool - Black New!

This is the best ceramic straightener I've ever used! I've been trying to not perm my hair anymore so I can reduce the amount of damage being done to my hair. If anyone is curious about my nationality, I'm black. When I run the PYT through my hair it makes it look like I permed my hair! It's truly amazing and it leaves a shine to your hair. A great way to keep that shine is to spray your hair with an oil sheen and then run the straightener through your hair and your results will be amazing. It goes up to like 450 degrees but I don't know who would ever need or want anything that hot on their head. I usually try to keep it set at about 300 degrees but if you are black and have natural hair the higher temperature setting would work well for thicker hair of all nationalities.

This straightener is defiantly a FABULOUS investment especially if you do your hair yourself. You can watch videos on Youtube to learn ways to style and design your hair with a flatiron/straightener. Another thing that I wanted to mention is that the PYT's plates are all ceramic. If you have a Chi, the plates on the Chi are not entirely ceramic. The PYT is completely ceramic and it does less damage to your hair. I have uploaded a picture of myself with my hair styled using the PTY before I stepped out the door.

I recommend this product to anyone who straightens their own hair. Especially if you waste your money by paying someone to straighten or style your hair. The PYT is tool you will use to do both straightening and styling. You won't be disappointed at all.

This PYT Flat iron is simply the best one I have ever owned. The iron heats up fast, the temp control is easy to use and the plates of the iron have some give so that you get a nice smooth look. And the price was Excellent. A girl at a kiosk in the mall tried to sell me the exact same PYT flat iron for $200!!

HSI Professional Heat Resistant Glove for Curling and flat iron. Black and red

Not sure what all the other reviewers are talking about. I like this glove a lot. If it were completely heat proof it would be very thick and hard to move your hand in. Plus, I hold my hair to the iron with this glove and when it finally gets hot on my hand, I know my hair is done.

Then I do another trick which works great, don't let the curled hair fall after you pull it off the iron, hold it in your heat proof glove until it's cooled down a bit. You can also pin each curl to your head so they can cool completely without gravity pulling them down. You may not realize this but as it hangs and cools, it releases a lot of curl. My hair falls out so quickly and I really hate using any hair spray so this works awesome for me.

This little glove makes a big difference since my short hair cut. It helps me get the curling iron in the best position for a good curl, without burning my fingers.

Now, if only there was heat resistant glove for my neck ... :)

I like the glove, but one came with my hot rollers so I did not need to buy it!

Anyway, it is way too big for my small hands, would have been better if it came in different sizes.

But, it works so that is the main thing, I like it!

Well, I am not new to the flat iron scene..I have owed Chi,Babyliss,Sedu and decided to try this out. My Babyliss after two years was not heating up properly and was not giving me the same performance. So out of the box, it is compact, and has a swivel cord which I love. I like the feature of the on/off switch and that when the iron is ready it has a blue light. It heats up literally in seconds, which is a plus! I have medium semi-thick hair, a few inches past my shoulders, and with that said I kind of feel that the iron is a little to short. The iron is great and leaves my hair cuticle sealed and shiny. I guess for the amount of hair I have the next size up would have been more accomidating. Overall I do like the performance of this iron, and will keep it, but when ironing I will probably just need to take smaller sections of hair. Oh, and I can get the job done in under 15 min. Hope this helps!

This is the best flat iron! I have tried so many and have had no luck. I have thin hair but it's super curly in the back and really hard to control. I always had a wave in the back with other flat irons. This flat iron gets it straight with two passes and I mean straight. There's a temperature setting from 200-400 and it heats up SO fast!
