This is NOT the same iron you find in Sally's... although they have one that appears to be the same.

It's difficult to tell WHO is actually rating a product, but the first review sounded like a competitor, with a one star rating.
I like the the 30 sec. instant heat, It has the tourmaline ceramic technology most seem to have this, too.
The first time I used it it was easy to handle, and seemed to do just as advertised.
The controls are in a place (and embedded) where you can't accidently change your settings. It does automatically turn off in 60 minutes.
The iron can also be used to create curls. The directions are illustrated, and easily understood.

I was very excited by the claims Conair made for this ceramic curler/straightener. It does have some great features: it is very lightweight, and it does a good job straightening hair, as long as your hair isn't too thick or too curly. However, I could not make it curl my hair in any way that looked good or remotely like the ads. For the record, I have a great deal of very fine, curly hair, down to the middle of my back, so its a challenge to style it in the best of circumstances. I gave up trying to use it for curling and now only use it to flatten and straighten my hair. The quest continues for the perfect curling iron!Read Best Reviews of Infiniti by Conair YOU Style Here
This product makes curls easy! It's sooo easy to use and works perfectly for straight hair. Little tip for any new users-wait at least a day after you wash your hair to use the product. Your hair responds a lot better to the curl if it's not freshly washed.Want Infiniti by Conair YOU Style Discount?
I have a massive amount of thick, slightly wavy hair, so using a regular curling iron takes me ages. I had completely given up on curling my hair until I saw the commercial for the Infiniti. I absolutely love it! It is great if you have layers because you don't have to worry about your hair falling out of it if you grab a chunk that has parts of both layers. I will warn you that it takes time to master the correct movement to create a curl, but it is worth it when you consider how long it takes to curl your hair normally. The trick is to go SLOWLY. If your hair doesn't curl the first time around slow down until it does. The slower you go, the tighter the curl. Start with the cooling plates toward your head, then twist it up or down until the plates are facing away from your head. Twist as soon as possible so that the curl starts as high up as it can. Hold the end shut so that the plates smooth your hair. Pull the Infinity down the length of your hair like you're straightening it. GO SLOW and *poof!* There's a pretty curl =] The straightener part is amazing as well. My hair always comes out smoother and shinier than it ever did with my other straightener. This youtube video was very helpful to me. Maybe it can help you too =]

Amazon is one of the places online that I have always felt safe making purchases, but no more. Please be aware that you're taking a chance that it may not be authentic and it might fail, and, if it does, you will have just lost a lot of money because there is no support for it.I have fine, wavy, fly-away hair that is prone to bushing and frizzing even in non-humid weather and until I found this dryer nothing could smooth, straighten and calm down this wild animal on my head!
This dryer is like a miracle! Even in hot, humid weather I can walk outside and not feel my hair shrivel and kink up. OK, there will be a little frizz, but not anywhere near as much as before. I'm telling you, if this dryer can work this well on my hair it can work for anyone. I've tried other expensive dryers that women rave about and they were all a waste of money compared to this one.
First of all, let me warn you that if you are expecting this dryer to be anything like your old dryer you are going to be let down. In just about every way this dryer makes you think it's not up to the task but if you give it a chance you'll see that it is light years better than anything else out there.
For instance, this dryer does not seem to put out a lot of air. People tend to think it doesn't have enough power but that's not because it isn't working, it's because it doesn't need to blow your hair to smithereens in order to dry it quickly and thoroughly. And the benefits from not having to deal with all that wind are amazing. It actually gives you better control over your hairstyle and doesn't "poof" up your hair. If you curl your hair around a barrel brush and pull it tight, then pull verrry slowly down to the ends while following it with the dryer, it will dry your hair far more efficiently and smoothly than if you had to deal with tons of wind blowing your hair all over the place. The only thing is that it takes some getting used to the lack of wind because you are forced to handle your hair differently. Once you get the knack of it, though, you will never want to go back to your old dryer again. I feel so much less stressed out using this dryer, too. It's quieter, lighter and doesn't require gymnastics to achieve amazing results.
Another thing is that the dryer is amazingly light it weighs just over half a pound! Again, the control this affords you in being able to hold the dryer at strange angles indefinitely without feeling awkward or tired is amazing. I used to think that only a professional could dry the hair on the back of my head and style it well, but now I can do it myself to perfection with this dryer. This dryer is so easy to use you will have more energy when you leave the bathroom. I'll swear it takes less time to dry my hair, although I haven't estimated by how much. It feels like it takes about 25% less time than my old dryer, which was also a professional ionic/ceramic dryer.
One thing that is strange about this dryer (but not in a bad way) is that at first I thought I was seeing "smoke" rising from my hair when I used it. This alarmed me because I thought I was damaging my hair. Now I realize that this is most likely the humidity being blown out of my via the miracle of modern science! It has no smell and it seems like water vapor. I had seen this effect a bit with my old dryer, but it happens a LOT with this dryer. All I know is that my hair comes out silky, smooth, and since I've been using it, in MUCH better condition than before. I sometimes feel like I've used a relaxer on my hair!
The only complaint I have about this dryer is a small one and quite minor in the scheme of things. The control buttons are in an awkward place on the grip of the handle and it is easy to accidentally turn the dryer off or change the speed or temperature. There are 2 independent speed controls and 3 temperature controls.
Other than that, I find the lower speed virtually unecessary because the higher speed is versatile enough to use for any purpose.
In general, I would highly recommend this dryer to anyone regardless of their hair issues. I often see women with "thick curly hair" act as if their hair type is the hardest to handle and if a dryer can work on them it can work on anyone. Well, they never had fine, fly-away, kinky, curly, bushy, virtually weightless hair that will not be tamed for love or money like I do, so I often wonder just who has it harder in that department! But regardless of that, I think that anyone who wants silkier, smoother, straighter hair will be more than happy with their results with this dryer. Personally, when I have seen bad reviews of this dryer I think it's because the person hasn't learned how to use it yet and is expecting it to act like the average hair dryer. If you have that reaction I would suggest taking some lessons in blow drying techniques because I am pretty sure that will solve your problem. This dryer has taught me so much about how to dry my hair successfully that I am almost in debt to it for an education as well. Now if they can only come out with a model that will shine shoes too! ;-)
UPDATE May, 2008: I have now owned this blow dryer for about a year and despite daily use it's still going strong with absolutely NO issues whatsoever and I am still thrilled with its performance!I was unable to keep this product due to the fact that the products box was not sealed and there was not a serial code attached to the hair dryer. This code is necessary in order to register it for it's 5 yr warranty. When I informed Amazon of this problem, they sent me another one, and this too did not have a seal and bar code. This only leads me to wonder where are these dryers coming from?I love this hairdryer HOWEVER after owning it for 22 months (not quite 2 years) it seems to have a short in it...so of course I contact the manufacturer T3 only to find out that amazon is NOT an "AUTHORIZED" retailer of the T3 products.....excuse me...WTF? However they were kind enough to say they would replace it for a $$ fee $$
Bewarewhere are these dryers coming from and why is Amazon still selling them if they are not an authorized retailer? Hmm
***UPDATE***
Although Amazon may not be an authorized retailer...please be sure to specify to T3 (if for some reason you have to return or register your product) that your dryer WAS purchased through Sephora/Amazon...in which case Sephora IS AN AUTHORIZED RESELLER of these dryers. It makes a huge difference!
***still love my dryer though!***I too bought this dryer and in less than 3 months the dryer was not working. When I contacted T3 they informed me that Amazon was not authorised to sell this product but they would make an exception and for a total cost of $50.00 they would replace my very expensive dryer.
Amazon should let you know of the issues before you by any product that will not honor it's warranty. I have used Amazon but never knew of this dirty little secret. I thought this was a customer service kind of company ,well it is not.

i bought this for my daughter after getting her new hairstyle that she wanted to use a straightener on. we had a "cheapy" one we had bought a few years ago from a department store. that one didn't get hot enough to do the job and was always "pulling" her hair when she would use it. i bought this from amazon because the exact same one was approx. $25 more at the hair salon. this professional bed head straightener goes up to 400 degress, but adjusts lower. it even lights up in one of two colors to let you know whether you are on high or low heat. it works great, much better than the other non-professional one we had and doesn't pull on the hair when you are using it. word of caution...this gets REALLY hot!!! so have you teen be careful as if you grasp too close toward the heating element you might end up with a burn.Read Best Reviews of Bed Head Tourmaline Nano-Ceramic Straightener Here
This straightner, is amazing, It has never once pulled my hair, It straigtens perfectly and I know this because I have extremely curly hair and you don't wanna ever see my frizz. haha. but really if your hair starts to get wavy you should try to use a product. because all that flat iron is made to do is make it flat. Not to keep it that way. You sound ridiculous. Thats like hearing someone with pin straight hair complaining I spent an hour curling my hair but they didnt stay. The only problem I had was the size i bought. BUT THAT WAS MY FAULT. I got the biggest size and it is hard to get up close to the top of my head.

This flat iron does straighten, but does not give that silky shiny feeling I get from other flat irons. Also pulls on the hair a bit. Not worth the price.Herstyler Classic Forever (Black)

I seriously love this iron. Ive had it for about a month now. I first heard about it at obe of the booths in the mall they tried selling it to me for almost $100 so i looked it up and found it so much more cheaper on here, and it was worth buying. The heat settings are good and straightens out the hair great. Everytime i use it it leaves my hair feeling soft and smoth. Deffinetly worth buying.

I love this flat iron I was kinda skeptical at first when I was looking at it and deciding weather I wanted to purchase this one or not but after reading other reviews I gave it a shot and thought what do I have to loose.. And I'mGlad I tried it! I love the way it flattens my hair in seconds and the way it makes my hair feel it even curls it if I want it makes it shine! It's worth the $$$ don't buy this at the MALL order it here! It's the same product! I didn't believe either until I tried it for myself!!
