I bought a Conair straightener for my daughter more than 5 years ago. Since then she's tried several different brands that offered 'improved' technology or features. She's had a chi, other ceramics, the portable types... this iron has always been the one she's used most and is still her favorite (even when she wouldn't admit it because it wasn't 'cool' or popular.)

Recently I've had to flat iron my own hair. The wide width is priceless if you're short on time. This iron gets it done twice as fast. It heats up quickly and doesn't lose heat as you use it.

Needless to say, the flat iron we own doesn't look like the picture here because it's a much older model. Maybe it's the older tech that makes it work so much better than all the other brands we've tried. I don't know. What I do know is if I ever need another flat iron I'll be buying this one.
