This is my second one of this exact iron. I left my other one in the bathroom continuously and all the moisture got to it after over a year and it went out. (my boyfriend opened it up up and saw it was a little rusty on some connections. I believe it was my fault. This iron is the best one I have ever had. Very professional and durable. I tried a couple of cheapo's and wow! This flattens just like the salon's did and makes my hair feel and look great! I will keep it in my bedroom now.
