I have no idea why the other reviewers of this product have given it such low ratings. I absolutely adore mine!I was first introduced to the Royale by a friend who had purchased on from a mall kiosk (much to the chagrin of her husband). She let me use it and showed me a few of the perks of this iron. I was hooked, but after looking up how much it is on the Royale website, I knew there was no way I could afford it. However, when my old flat iron broke just a few days later, I was lucky enough to find this item here on Amazon. How excited was I!
And I must say, I was not disappointed at all when it came. It has lived up to every expectation I had of it. My hair has never looked so healthy after being straightened. The no longer look split, and it is so soft! No, the plates may not be ceramic...they're better!
I love my Royale, and will definitely be looking for another if this one ever stops working. Worth every penny.

This product was the best. It straighten out my daughters hair perfectly and gave it shine. However it didn't give any bounce to the hair but i assume that is all with time and take care of your hair.This flat iron is wonderful! It cuts smoothing time in half, and it doesn't fry your hair! This is definitely a must have for anyone looking for a high quality flat iron.Was disappointed, was not the ceramic one that I thought it would be. Works ok, but a less expensive store bought one would work as well.
