I owned this exact same flat iron years ago and LOVED it! The first time I used my new one I turned it on and the light came on and it started to heat up. I walked away for 5 minutes to get it up to temperature. When I came back the light had turned off and the unit was ice cold. I contacted the seller and I was shipped a new one. I have used the newer one once and at first I thought it was again broken since the light did not come on. I waited a few minutes and the unit was hot. I am not thrilled about the non working on/off light but at least this one seams to be getting hot. We will see how it turns out after some time.
