Seven years ago, I purchased this flat iron from QVC and gave it to myself for Christmas. :D It lasted five years; QVC stopped selling it, so for two years, I worked with cheap flat irons that damaged my hair. :( The end.Well, I found my flat iron on Amazon, and I had a *heavenly choir* moment. So, naturally, I bought it.
I am so in love with this flat iron! It makes my hair shiny and it's not damaged-looking like with other flat irons. I love how the heat is adjustable and that the plates can be switched out for different curls and volumizing styles. My favorite is the smaller triangle plates because they lift the roots nicely and give my ends a distinctive flip.
The one thing I love with this purchase that I did not receive when I initially ordered my flat iron years ago is the styling guide, comb, and clips. The guide has some nice tips, and the comb helps me achieve a nice part in my hair. I also need to the mention that the cord "swivels" at the base, so I don't have to worry about annoying "twisty cord of doom!"
Now, the only con I have is that the price is higher here than what I initially paid (I bought this for $25 on QVC when they had it; of course, I'm sure inflation factors in). However, it is worth the price! After Christmas, I am buying a backup because my hair cannot go without this iron!
And a tip for fellow buyers, wash the plates before using. When you heat the plates the first time, they have a funky smell, so a little soap and water will eliminate that. ;)
