Croc Infrared Flat iron 1 Inch

I finally bought this flat iron after being amazed at the results I got when my hairdresser used it. I have long naturally curly coarse hair and with the other irons I used my hair would remain straight for no more than 24 hours before starting to kink again. This iron is different. With other irons you need to pass it through each section of your hair repeatedly in order for it to get and stay straight. With this you only need to pull it through once and instantly your hair starts feeling smooth and sleek to the touch. This iron uses a digital display which makes using it not only simple but fun as well. The design of it is in itself great making it easy to control and this also ensures that your fingers don't get burnt if it slips as it still wont get anywhere near the outer side of the plates. The outer side of the plates actually gets pretty hot but I don't think that's unusual for an iron that heats up to 450 degrees in an instant.

Before buying this I bought the baby croc to take with me on a trip abroad and while it works pretty well it just doesn't make your hair sleek and shiny the way this flat iron does.

I have to admit that I was skeptical about buying this as I hear the longevity of this iron isn't all that good but I eventually decided the results were worth it even if it means investing in a new one every year. Besides if you compare the price to what you'd pay for a salon straightening treatment it's still much much cheaper.

I bought this flat iron less than a year ago. I didn't use it that frequently, maybe about 1-2 times a week. It worked well, except that I noticed it stayed warm when it was turned off. So I unplugged it after every use to be safe. I guess that the wiring must be bad on the inside, because one day it began to smoke while I was using it! Croc offers a one year warranty on the product, but THEY DO NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY WHEN PURCHASED FROM AMAZON. So better to buy this product from an authorized seller, or if you don't mind buying a new one every year. I'm going to try a different brand.
