My family has been using the "Chi" for many years. For Christmas my 13 year old wanted her own flat iron so i purchased this one. Unfortunately it doesn't work the way we are used to. . so it goes unused and she is still using the Chi.
I've been looking for a good, affordable straightener for a while, as I've been using a cheap Conair one for a few years. I saw this one, and since I'd heard some good things about Hot Tools and I love snow leopards, I figured I'd give it a shot. I've never had to set a straightener over 360 degrees for it to straighten my hair, but at 380, this one still wasn't doing anything for me. My hair was a little smoother and shinier, but still very wavy. t first I thought maybe I didn't let it heat up completely when I started, but after 20 minutes of straightening, I still wasn't happy with the results. Maybe it's because I'm not used to it, but I think this product will end up going back.
