I do have to say the iron did heat up pretty quickly, but I felt like it still had no effect. Perhaps it was my hair type: thick, but layered and long (a few inches past the shoulder). So after the first use, I decided to give up straightening all my hair and just tried to do the bangs. It just wasn't the same as my Chi. The size was great and heating seemed efficient, but unfortunately, ineffective for my head of hair.
It is very small, and easy to use(heating up fast, including a heat protection cover), and also cheap!
I recommend this!

I purchased this mini hair straightener for a recent vacation. It worked well for me, my hair is fine and chin length. Might not work for longer and really thick hair. The cord is super long and does not swivel, but for travel it works fine.
