Vidal Sassoon VS189 Pro Gold Series 2" Fast-Heat Straightener

The straightener was a gift for my girl friend, the product works great and she is more than happy. Price was a factor with this item and is worth the money paid. Would purchase this item again if needed.

I used to use the White Revlon Perfect Heat straightener. It was the best one for my hair. Although I have fine curly hair, it always just straightened exactly how I liked it. Unfortunately, after about a year they tend to konk out, which is understandable because they get really hot and are used frequently. To my dismay Revlon discontinued the model and I couldn't find it anywhere! I bought their replacement "perfect heat" brand straighteners but haven't recieved the same results not to mention the new design was causing me to burn my hands... then I happened across this one... and was pleasantly surprised.

It looks and is described exactly like the old straightener I used, only difference is the brand and the color is black instead of white. The price was more than ideal and it works exactly the same! I am thrilled. (About to order a couple more just in case)

The only downside to this model, as with the one I used to use is it can occasionally snag hair, but other than that this straightener is powerful for all hair types. I have baby fine curly long biracial hair and I also have used it on thick coarser ethnic hair with lasting and ideal results! I would recommend it!

I absolutely love this product. I have had mine for two years now and its about time for a new one. The straightener gets so hot and I have very thick, curly hair and it only takes me about 20 minutes to complete the task. I will and have recommended this product to many!!

i have really thick, frizzy curly hair and this has been by far the best flat iron i've owned. I have owned about 8 different brands and models of straightners and this one has seriously been the absolute best, i had to end up giving my other ones away as i bought and used them because they were just not good on my hair type. The one down fall of this one is that it breaks so easy and the plastic on the edges of the ceramic starts melting slowly after a couple months. I have seriously gone to Target and rebought this one atleast 5 times in the last 2 to 3 years. You'd think a flat iron would last u longer than that but i love how it leaves my hair, i wish it was better quality in craftsmanship on the outside though. I think thats why its only like $17!!!
