I've been using this for years....First my hair stylist used it...then I purchased on my own for in between keratin treatments....Absolutely love it.....It does what it says....it tames and softens and makes your hair manageable.I chose to do this over the brazillian blowout because the BB has formaldehyde and I didn't want to chance putting a cancer causing chemical on my hair so i decided to go with iso. my hair is curly and frizzy I went to a salon paid almost 200.00 to get it done and waited more than 24 hours before i got it wet at all. I actually waited almost 48 hours. I got up this morning and washed it with the moroccan oil brand shampoo and conditioner which I bought at the salon and partially blow dried my hair then sectioned it off and blow dried it the rest of the way. It looked good..... until I walked out the front door. The humidity was up and it felt like weather at the beach needless to say my hair frizzed up and tried to curl right now I look like buckwheat on a bad hair day. I know it's hard to judge by reviews especially when you want good results but ladies PLEASE DONT' WASTE YOUR MONEY. I wasted 285.73 to get this done at a salon and the 3 products i bought.I have extremely thick, wavy hair. It is tough to blow out takes a long time. With Maintamer, my hair is sooooo much softer and silky. You will still have to blow out your hair, but it takes less than half the time and the results are amazing. I can go out in the rain, in the humidity and NO FRIZZ or curling!!! I can't imagine there are bad reviews. I love this product. I had my hair straightened twice with the Japanese Straightening process....over $1,000 and the second time I did it (I waited a year), it ruined my hair so badly I had to cut it short. Never again! You can do this yourself and get fabulous hair. Go for it.ISO MainTamer (1 application)

I am surprised at the less than stellar reviews. I have been using this product for years. The first time it was done in a salon and after that, my mom did it for me. I have course, curly hair. The curl is not ridiculous, but the extremely course texture of my hair makes it unmanageable. It is fuzzy and looks horrible. The best part about this product is that it actually smooths and softens the hair, giving it a straight hair texture. From that point, I blow it out (not straighten with a brush, just blow it out as quickly as possible) and it is straight. I have used the Chi system, to the tune of hundreds and hundreds of dollars, and frankly, the texture of my hair is no different. The hair is straighter, slightly, but if I used this product and did all that they do with the product on your hair with the Chi system, in other words, they really, really ensure that it sets up stick-straight, then this would do that as well. But is it worth spending literally $400? No way. For $45, and yes, definitely do two if you have thick hair at all, I can get almost the same thing, and frankly, if I (and my mom) was willing to sit there for hours ensuring the hair was stick straight before neutralizing it, then it probably would look the same. It's just not worth the time, so I don't do it. Trust me, it is not possible to get hair much straighter than this, even with something as high tech as the Chi system in a salon. It's well worth it.I have done this treatment twice, once on my naturally course wavy hair and another time to remove perm waves......both times it got my hair super straight and silky. I did it myself both times, one might want some help combing out the back if your hair is really long. I would definitely use again! The whole process took about a half hour.
