I've bought several flat irons before, but this is by far the best! It really gets hot, 450*, and straightens your hair in no time at all. Also, my hair looks smooth and feels soft and shiny! Don't waste your money on the Chi or other flat irons!

I bought this flat iron after using my mother-in-law similar one. She has a Jose Eber too, but it is black and you cannot control the temperature on it. It was also much more expensive than this one (she got it in a mall I think).

Overall I really like this flat iron, which is the first one I've ever own.

I like the fact that it works on both wet (not damp) and dry hair.

I bought it originally to do both curling and flat ironing, but I couldn't really get a hang of the technique for curls so I now only use it for flat ironing.

I like the fact that this item was cheaper than other flat irons from the Jose Eber line, which I assume is because of the pattern finish since other colors weren't offered at the same price. Now, I am not one of those girls who go crazy about pink/animal prints and I honestly think that the zebra print featured is really ugly, but it stays in my bathroom so it's not a big deal.

This iron does heat up really fast, I was extremely impressed! It also is easy to clean, just with a cotton pad with luke-warm soapy water. You do need to be careful not to soak the whole cotton pad otherwise some of the water can get underneath the plate and potentially harm the flat-iron. Also, do not use any chemicals on the plates because it can make the surface sticky/burn your hair/ruin the plates when you heat it up.

I also like the fact that you can control the temperature, which is probably why you can use it on wet hair (on the lowest setting) otherwise your hair would simply burn. It does make my hair feel soft and silky while straightening it. I use a heat protectant spray (which is why I clean the plate after use) and so far, so good, my hair doesn't look damaged at all. I do not use it everyday however as I believe that the heat can accelerate the oiling process on my scalp.

All in all, I am very happy with my purchase, which is why it gets 5 stars despite the ugly zebra print (which I am sure is not a problem for most girls).

Its been 9 months since i bought this product, i have almost straight hair. First few months I was more than glad that I bought this straightner,my hair looked soft, straight and silky. After 5-6 months it did straighten my hair but I didnt see that shine in my hair anymore, later it stopped heating and now I have to wait atleast 15 min for it to heat and even then it does not straighten my hair.Also my hair is damaged. I am buying new straightner.
