Sedu Revolution Clipless Curling Iron

Sedu Revolution Clipless Curling Iron, 19mmI purchased this clipless curling iron after watching some video reviews online and let me just say its worth the price. This comes with a heat resistant glove which if you don't have a lot of practice with iron's like this trust me I WOULD USE IF I WAS YOU. It gets super hot. but here are some PRO's and CON's

PRO:

1. has 3 heat settings (low, med, high) this gets super hot so please use the right setting for your hair type

2. Leaves wavy curls which I LOVE (Because you have to twist your hair around it and its clipless so no indent).

3. Super LONG cord for this who need it.

4. The look is very modern not cheap looking.

5. Gets hot fast.

6. Comes with the heat resistant glove so you don't have to purchase this by itself.

CON:

1. Does not come with a heat resistant pouch or carrier. (Mine did because I ordered mine on Folica.com)

2. The price (but you get what you pay for)

3. You can get burned if your not careful so please use caution.

4. The glove is not 100% heat proof you can still feel the heat SO BE CAREFUL!

OVERALL I LOVE THIS IRON. I got the 19mm size and I am very happy with my purchase.

I've been plagued with un-curl-able hair my entire life! I've tried different brands of curling irons at different temperatures made of different materials. Even with expensive curling irons, I would try to hold the iron on my hair for a minute on each section and even still my curls would fall out within an hour of finishing. The only way to make them stay was with copious amounts of hairspray which would give my hair a plasticy artificial appearance and would defeat the purpose of doing my hair in the first place.

I've always sought out those beautiful natural waves that are so popular right now. I've used a Sedu tourmaline iron to straighten my hair for years and it has been, far and away, the best and fastest way to straighten my hair. So when I heard that Sedu had created a curling iron from the same material, I had one last hope that I would finally be able to curl my hair. I bought the 25mm model and was so excited when it arrived.

First off, the packaging this iron comes in is gorgeous. A matte black satin box with a magnetic closure. Gives the impression of luxury, which is nice.

The iron is clipless and it has a straight barrel unlike many of the other clipless curling irons which are tapered. I think this makes for more natural waves. I can't compare this to the 19mm model which I read creates a more spiraled look. My hair is quite thick and has a bit of a natural wave to it, so I figured the 25mm model might be better suited to more difficult hair.

As soon as I tested it out, I was stunned by how hot the iron would get. I absolutely had to use the included heat-protection glove to prevent burns on my fingers holding the hair around the barrel. The positioning of the iron was a little awkward at first. When you curl your hair with a clipless iron you're meant to reach your arm around and hold it pointing downwards. Then you use the other hand to wrap a 1-2" piece of hair around the barrel. I held each section for 10 seconds before letting it go and waited until I had finished curling all my hair before brushing my fingers through it to separate the hair. The curls held fairly well, but did fall out somewhat a few hours later. On my second try I used heat protectant and a light coat of hairspray and the curls held perfectly all day.

I love this iron! I love that it holds my curls! It isn't perfect and my curls will fall out somewhat if I don't use some product to maintain them, but I'm able to curl my hair in less than 30 minutes. It takes little effort to make them stay. The only complaint I have is that this iron doesn't smooth my frizzy hair down like the Sedu straightener does. But I can fix that issue with a little anti-frizz serum (I like Garnier's Sleek & Shine).

If you've had no success curling your hair, this is definitely worth a shot and might solve all your problems.

Finally, a clipless curling iron with variable heat settings. I tried the Sultra Bombshell and loved it but it was WAY too hot for my fine hair and there was no way to adjust the temperature. Then I tried a Amika with different sized barrels you could alternate and I just felt like it might break after a while with all that alternating. This Sedu is the best. There are only 4 heat setting options, but it works for me.

After trying a similar product on Halloween this year, I had to get one for myself. Many may disagree, but the price I paid for this product ($120) is UNHEARD of !!! I double checked at a beauty supply store near my house and was so pleasantly surprised that I did not over pay for this product... in fact I paid $30 less than most places that sell the Sedu Revolution!

Outside of the price, the end result of using the clipless curling iron from Sedu is absolutely mind blowing. I love my hair. I loved it yesterday when I did it, I love it even more the next day after sleeping on the curls.

My hair is very long and extremely thick. I have NEVER used a product I like so much. I even like this better than my straightening iron because there is literally no frizz. I used maybe 2 squirts of hairspray and I didn't need anymore.

Not to mention... I placed the order on Wednesday and my curling iron was sitting on my door on Friday ! =)

After purchasing this I will never go anywhere else for hair products. I will forever be a Sedu lover. Thank you for your amazing product , and thank you Amazon for the great price !! I will be shopping with you guys more often.

My sister got the 25mm curling iron for me and I can't stop using it. My co-worker (who has naturally straight hair) wanted to give it a try because she had never tried a clipless iron (neither had i), so I brought it to work for her to try on some down time. Long story short, she fell in love and ordered one THAT day. Her hair curls differently than mine because it is so straight naturally she gets more of voluminous waves, which are beautiful. Mine gives me tight ringlets if i want them, or loose curls (i opt for these). The only thing i would warn about is that if you don't use the heat resistant glove, you may burn yourself a few times until you get used to it. If you're worried about that, just use the glove!! Check out some youtube video reviews if you still have any questions. If you're reading reviews and wondering if it works.....yes....it does EXACTLY what it says it will do. It gets extremely hot (so use heat protectant on your hair) and it leaves beautiful results!
