CHI Air Expert Baby Tourmaline Ceramic Mini Flat Iron , Black/red, 1/2 Inch

CHI Air Expert Baby Tourmaline Ceramic Mini Flat Iron , Black/red, 1/2 InchIf you have short hair and are looking for a good flat iron, don't pick this one. Go with the 1 1/2 inch chi air or anything else really, but not this. The iron has a lot of design flaws and is very dangerous to use, don't be fooled by the cheaper price. It gets way too hot when you use it (to the point where the red covering doesn't help at all) and the temperature is erratic at best, not good for your hair. The only reason I didn't return it was because its actually decent for ironing those tricky spots around the ear, but you need to be very VERY careful since their is no protective covering on the outside (as you can see by the picture) I've almost burned myself several times.

After I upgraded to the chi air, I've had no problems. Its better if you just save up, avoid this at best.

If you are using this strictly for bangs or touch ups, it's okay. I tried to use it on my whole head (I'm growing out a pixie cut and my hair is barely chin-length) and I had more fly-aways than I felt like dealing with. It worked well for just the bangs, but I had to leave it set to re-heat between passes. Stick to a full size for whole head applications even if you are travelling the regular full size one is sooooo much better.

The mini CHI is exactly that...mini! It does work but is more suited for short and thin hair. It works great for styling short hair.
