Ordered this on the hopes it would work for my daughter who has very thick and curly mixed hair. It is amazing. We have been able to stop the chemical processing that was hurting her hair and use this iron to achieve the same look. It takes half the time and half the heat of our old iron leaving her hair to look straight and silky. I use it on my own hair too and love it!! We have been using it now for 4-5 months and wouldn't buy anything else!!
This unit heats up fast, and I like the way it moves through my hair -no more pulling my hair like my old flat iron did. It does a great job both straightening and curving, leaving my hair very smooth.
I liked the videos on their website that demonstrate how to get the flat iron to make curls, waves, etc. -do more than straighten.
The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the trouble that I am having registering the product on their website, in case I need to use the warranty. The Couture is one of the models with the longest warranty period -3 years. So look at that before you order. Some of the other models only have a 1 year warranty, and they cost just as much.
