But my daughter has thick black hair, and has used several different models. She had problems with the ones she used, and it was too hard to use or took too long, or whatever.
So I figured I'd spend a few extra bucks and get her a nice decent model. This did the trick. She liked it very much, and did the job better (quicker, easier... ??? I just know she liked it over the other models).
Sorry I can't give you a review on the operations of it, but I can tell you what NOT to do. Use it as a pry bar. Unfortunately, teenage girls will use odd ball devices for odd ball repairs. Dads will, or have learned this many times.
The outer case handles are plastic, so using the arm like a pry bar will make it snap like a pencil. I think that would probably be the same for any other hair straightener. I just wish the handles were stronger.
But the 5 stars is because she really liked it with no complaints about anything on it. She uses it over the other ones. Well, did. So now I have to get her another one.If you have long, thick hair, this is not the best flat iron. You have to use VERY small sections of hair if you want to have any sort of curl or tuck to the end of your hair. If you just want something that is going to make your hair super straight without doing a lot of damage this is a great flat iron, but that's really all it's good for.
