The actual plug on the unit looks like on from an antique lamp or old apliance. The cord is long but resembles a home phone cord.

Don't expect miracles on your hair. WILL NOT remove the frizz or adds shine.

There is no way of telling the temperature as there is No dial or beeps or anything. Just an ON/ OFF SWITCH ONLY.

I believe the other two five star reviews are fake. I cannot see how anyone could give this item a five star rating unless they were selling them. One star is being nice.

The plates are are sprayed gold so I cannot tell what's under the paint??

Bottom line I am not happy with this flat iron and don't think you would be either at any price.

I am a licenced cosmotologist and this flat iron is wonderful. I recently bought a flat iron at a local beauty shop and had to take it back as it would not straighten my hair to my satisfaction. This iron really does the job. I have lots of fine curly hair and I can straighten my hair with this iron in less than 10 minutes. My hair is sleek and smooth. Love it! Very rarely do I leave feedback, but this is well worth it!

This is just what I was looking for. The plates are extra wide and smooth. They glide so easily through my hair. I have curly hair. With this flat iron I go over my hair once and it's straight. I forgot how good HerStyler products are. My hair is straight, smooth, and shiny. It does not heat up too hot and it does not pull the ends of my hair. I am very pleased.
