I ordered two of these. A blue one and a green one. The blue one for my mom as a Christmas gift and the green one for myself because I needed a dual voltage flat iron for a trip I'm taking. I was so excited about the baby blue one though because my mom has needed a flat iron for so long and I know these are really great irons, and baby blue is her favorite color. HOWEVER!!!! Instead of baby blue, I received an ugly blue/purple color. The color is not even listed in the product descriptions. It looks nothing like the blue one and it looks nothing like the purple one.When I compared hers to the green one I ordered for myself, they are two totally different flat irons!! The green one does not have floating plates, it's not dual voltage and it doesn't go up to 450 degrees like the blue/purple one does. I need all of these items to be a part of my iron too. I'm almost wondering if the green one is a FAKE. It does not heat up properly and I'm wondering too if it has been used and returned because it's also packaged differently than the blue one. I tried both irons and the green one is a piece of crap compared to the blue one. The blue one at least works as well as I know these irons can work, so even though it's not baby blue, I'm keeping it for my mom anyway because she's going to like how it works. But I'm returning the green one because it's definitely not what I ordered.
Now I'm not high maintenance and I usually suck it up when I get something that's slightly different from what I ordered. I'm a regular Amazon shopper and I've never really had any complaints about anything I've ordered on here.
I contacted the seller 4 days ago and I have yet to hear anything back. To me that is unacceptable. Especially when you deliberately send your customers something totally different than what you're selling in your storefront. And the fact that it's been 4 days since I've contacted this seller speaks volumes of their level of customer service. This whole experience has left me VERY disappointed.
So a word of advice, if you need a dual voltage iron that works, and you're still going to order from this seller, order the blue one.

I was sent the dark blue hair straightener not the baby blue hair straightener as pictured. Also, while it does a good job flat ironing it's a little too big to do curls/waves on shorter hair. I think it's due to the extra width of the iron (it's 1.5" instead of a standard 1) so it'd a little bulkier and by the time I wrap my hair all the way around and try to straighten the iron there's pretty much no hair left so intead all I get are these big roller style curl unders instead of spirals.I was looking for this product because my sister had one but hers didn't have a seperate section for the plate so it clearly isn't this particular style. She said she picked it up a few years ago at the mall but when I tried to find the same type of model as hers I couldn't so I figured another model of the same brand would be sufficient. Hers worked better (less frizz/fly aways) and it was narrower and easier to handle.
I think this will probably be going back and I'll probably try another model of the same brand and see if get better luck.
I would have given this 3-4 stars since the product does work well (just not as well as the one my sister had) but they shipped me a completely different color than pictured.
