This flat iron works well. It seems to be on par with other top of the line straighteners, such as the Chi or Paul Mitchell. One nice feature is that it has adjustable temperature settings, so if you have thin hair you can turn down the heat a little bit. As with most high quality irons, it has a nice long cord with a swivel to keep it from twisting. The travel size iron is a cute and fun novelty item. It plugs into the cigarette lighter of your car. Unfortunately it blew the fuse in my friend's car. So if you do want to use it, test it out first and make sure you don't have anything else running on the same fuse. And have a couple extra fuses handy. Nothing worse than going camping or whatever and then having no cigarette lighter the rest of the trip. I think if we had turned the radio off, we would've been fine. And of course, don't do your hair and drive at the same time.
If you planned to use the mini anywhere other than your car (just don't straighten while driving :]) then this is not the best purchase for you.
