It straightens my hair very well (although I only use it to get my roots straight, and flat iron the rest) and I don't even have to use the highest heat setting. It's a bit bigger than the average hot comb and the buttons are weirdly placed so that it's easy to make a mistake and turn it off while in use. However, once you get over those minute issues, it does the job and does it well :).
I noticed that this was being shipped from Target, so I actually saved myself the [shipping] money and went to a local Target and got it myself. I'd rate this product for "everyone".Only use hot combs on my hair a few times a year, because I usually wear natural braid twists. Since I have very coarse, thick, nappy, shoulder length hair that requires high heat to press out, I did not believe this tool would do the job. After applying a small amount of cream satin press to each hair section and placing it on setting 20, I finished my entire head of hair in 20 minutes. Now, I can say good bye to my set of Kentucky Maid pressing combs.
Would recommend higher heat settings and a setting lock on the dial.

I've been looking for something to straighten course hair. All products I've tried have done ok. This is excellent. It gets very very hot and straightens in a short amount of time. No complaints at all.Read Best Reviews of Andis 38300 High Heat Press Comb Here
From reading the previous reviews, I had to try it out for myself. I love this hot comb, I have been natural for 1 year now and i miss my wash and sets. But using this comb will be just fine for me. It heats up very fast and you only need to comb a section of your hair once. I recommend this product to anyone. P.S. This comb gets the roots.Want Andis 38300 High Heat Press Comb Discount?
This is my first Electric Pressing Comb. I didn't want to fool with the traditional ones. I used it durring my transition as my natural 4b was trying to kill the relaxed 4b hair. I used this combined with KeraCare pressing cream and the results were beyond what I expected. It do what it do.However....I did read the reviews on this product before I purchased it and it was mentioned that the On/Off button is a pain. They were all right. You will end up turning the unit off accidently. With some practice this can be avoided. It litterally takes a minute to get to the desired heating level. I'm please with it. I've had it for over a year now and it's still working fine.
