I was using a Revlon ionic hair dryer ($20 price point) for the past couple of years and finally started wondering if the dryer was also a factor in the condition of my hair...
After reading some reviews on Amazon and elsewhere I went to Ulta and asked about high end dryers. The FHI Heat 1800 was recommended to me over all others, even the CHI. The girl stated that the CHI is really good, but that the life span is only about a year.
I purchased the FHI Heat ($100 price point) knowing that I could return it to Ulta if I ended up not liking it. I was nervous that it doesn't have a warm setting, but it dries my hair so quickly that it must not have enough time to do damage, plus the "high"setting isn't an unbearable heat. So, my review after a week is that I absolutely love it! My hair is of course still thin, but the dryer leaves my hair shiny, silky to the touch and calms the frizziness. I find myself stroking my hair throughout the day since I am still in disbelief that this dryer made such a difference! For the past year and a half I wouldn't leave the house without my hair up in a bun or up in a clip since it looked horrific... Seriously, I just couldn't wear it down, until now... I am betting on this dryer to help my hair even more down the road, since it won't be damaging new fragile hair growth. If you are suffering with similar issues, this may very well be worth the investment. Best wishes.

I loved this dryer but after I had it for a week, the plug literally fell apart. I received a replacement and the same thing happened 3 months later. I'm not sure if this issue always happens with this item or if the seller merchandise just has bad defective products. Either way, it was a big let-down and a total waste of money!Read Best Reviews of FHI Nano Weight Pro 1800 Blow Dryer Here
I have, for the past few years, been very bad about styling my hair. I have a lot of it and with my old dryer, it would take around 40 mins to blowdry and style my hair. I have a decent amount of curl so air-drying usually does the trick and if my hair dried weirdly, I would just throw it up in a ponytail rather than take the time and the sweat that hairstyling can sometimes create with its heat-emitting utensils. So, in general, I would blowdry and straighten my hair like once a month (if I had an occasion). I recently have been trying to spend more time on myself in the morning and became so frustrated with the time spent that I asked for an ionic blowdryer for Christmas. This, FHI Nano Weight Pro 1800, was what I received and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! First time I used it, I did it using a round brush since usually that really helps cut down on the straightening time. It took about 15-20 mins and I did not need to straighten at all! The second time I used it was right before bed and I just was trying to get it dry and manageable. Using just my hand to comb my hair away from my head, it took me 5 minutes. Yes, you read that correctly, only 5 MINUTES!! That time, I did end up doing just a bit of straightening on my fringe and the wispys around my temples but that only took about 2 mins. So using this blowdryer I went from 40-odd minutes of work to just 7! So amazing! Not to mention the fact that I do not have NEARLY as many flyaways as I used to. Also, my hair is smooth and ultra-shiny after using it. The texture feels a bit diffrent, not bad different, just moisturized. The dryer is very quiet too. On my first test with it I though that it wouldn't do anything for my hair because it is quieter on high than my old one was on low. That is definitely not the case. I cannot recommend this dryer enough. Worked like a charm! I do have one qualm though, the power button is placed kind of oddly and if you are not paying attention, you may accidentally turn it off. Love this! Five stars and two thumbs up!This hairdryer is wonderful it's fast-drying, very quiet, and leaves my hair feeling very smooth. I highly recommend this product!
