I bought this straightener, brought it home, tried it and hated it immediately. It took multiple swipes down each small section of hair to get it straight and it still wasn't very smooth. Not at all what I was hoping for. The rubber or silicone strip that runs down the side of one of the plates grips your hair making it hard to slide it through your hair smoothly. The only part of the straightener that I liked was the packaging. It was so easy to put it back in the box after I decided it was going back.

I have owned and used this flat iron for nealy three years now and I just bought a new flat iron. This iron worked out okay for the first year. because you can't control the heat more than just "low", "medium", and "high", the heat fluctuates. Sometimes I've had to trick the heat by turning it off and on again to get it to heat back up. Yesterday was the very last straw. No matter what I did, I couldn't get it to heat up. It was only slightly warm and I could grab the iron part with my hand and hold it there since it wouldn't heat up. I'm disappointed. ISo if you're looking for a flat iron to use temporarily...one you can just trash later, by all means, by this one! But if you want something that will last, buy something-anything!else!

We needed to get my step daughter a straightener that has auto turn off since she kept leaving her other one on ALL the time. It's not to costly and it gets hot enough. My step daughter complains it doesn't get as hot as her other one but I used it and it works fine on my hair and I have more hair than her. I think she just doesn't want to give in and like it, hehe.
