So, Im not to pleased at all to find out this FHI Platform may not be authentic. When i rec'd this item on 3/1/13 I was egaer to use it. After the initial few flips on my hair with this styling tool i realized that some of the white lettrerings had rubbed off.I called the Official FHI website, and the rep stated that Amazon is not an official retailer of theres.. only beautychoice.com, and that if something happened to the flatiron I have no warranty at all. I will contact Amazon directly in regards to this matter... once I locate their phone number.

My hairdresser uses this flat iron and I loved how it made my hair straight and silky. I got one for home and was quite happy that I got the same results at home as I did at the salon. My hair is natural and I don't have to work hard at all to straighten it. I like that it has an adjustable temperature control, my hair is fine in texture so too high of a setting could burn it easily. I love love this flat iron!

Had several through the years and this is my first FHI. I LOVE it. The swivel cord, heat resistant pack, temp control, fast heat up, and beveled plates are my favorite qualities about it. I wanted a flat iron for curling and this is the best I've seen or used! Bravo.

My girlfriend used the iron right after she opened it to go to our families Christmas parties. After 7 hours of kids and relations, I think that says a lot about the quality.

It takes a long time to heat up and doesn't smooth natural hair as good as my $30 flat iron. I would send it back if I could. A waste of money. I would prefer to get the runway and thought this was comparable to it.
