I'm really glad I purchased this flat iron. I was a hesitant about the price, as I'm used to the $20 ones, but someone demonstrated the NuMe for me on my daughter's thick, wavy hair at the mall and it's really neat. It flattens much better than the cheaper ones, much faster, and the look stays much longer (until next wash). My daughter's hair is curly underneath and flat to wavy on the top, so unless I style it, it just won't lay right, but it also takes a heavy-duty flat iron to do the job. I'm told that this will hold up much better than the cheapos too, and I've had it for several months and so far so good (I have had multiple cheapos break on me). In addition, this particular flat iron can also curl and the curls are so cute and hold up really well! It takes a little practice, but there are multiple videos on YouTube that will teach you how. This is also MUCH, MUCH cheaper than what it was offered for at the mall, so I say go for it!

I am very disappointed with this product. It stopped working the second time I used it. The reason was that it does not work with 240v although on the package of the flat iron it clearly says that it works with 100v to 240v. I could not get a replacement because I bought it from myhabit.com and they did not have any stock. I decided to get a refund which was $23 and I had someone expert to fix it. I also bought an adapter. It worked for a couple of days and then one of the plates was detached. Such a waste of money.The worse product I have ever purchase! It's not that cheap even after you use the coupons. Product came home looking used up, stretched, and been through a lot. After a few weeks of "debating" they send me another one WORSE than before. Not to mention my skin got rashes after unboxing the iron! There are marks and dust all over my friends iron and mine...we both order from different areas and different flat iron but the out come of this company product and service is the same. After this purchase I learned to never purchase from small companies like NUME. Made me cut the dusty, scratch up iron so that they can replace a dustier and more scratched up one and to be better off..in a different color! Made me waited a whole month to be disappointed all over again with this company. Please don't like me! Even Target can do better.Works really well and is lightweight! Keeps my hair straight for a couple of days. Will suggest this brand to friends!
