My hairdresser uses this product. I have bought my daughter 3 CHI's in the past, but I never owned one. Now that I have long hair, I needed one but did not want invest a lot of money for a straightner so I opted to buy this one. I thought if it was good enough for my hairdresser than there must be something to it. I love this product. It heats up quick and does a wonderful job on my hair. I can use it one day, and my hair will stay straight until I wash it again (or wear a ponytail, which I do alot). I recommend this product to anyone searching for a quality straightner!!
Works nicely, get plenty hot, and leaves no creases. It doesn't leave hair as smooth and silky as it could, however. Also, the rounded edges and narrow plates work well for thin or short hair, but for a person with long, thick hair like me, this straightener takes me forever to use. It doesn't grip hair very well.

I bought this item 5 or 6 years ago from Sally Beauty Supply and it has yet to stop working. My 13 year old daughter has used it for 3 of those years and we all know that teenagers are brutal on electonics. She has dropped it several times on the tile floor in the bathroom and it is still all in one piece. Nothing has broken, the iron still works perfectly. If you are buying an iron for your teen this one is perfect, compaired to the Chi it will last longer (for somone who is rough on their products) as it seems to withstand many beatings.
