This flat iron did not work very well with my hair at all. I have very thick hair, so if you have thinner or fine hair, it may work just fine for you. Unfortunately, it did not get hot enough to straighten my hair well and does not have the option of turning the heat up or down. It is durable and made well, it just doesn't work for my hair. I tried using increasingly smaller chunks of hair, but that didn't do very well either. Even with my Super Skinny serum and other protective products, by the time I was done, my hair was dry and frizzy looking, and not nearly as straight as it was with the last flat iron I had. It'll do in a pinch if you're desperate, I suppose, but I'm glad that I only paid $12 for it, so I can't really complain too much.

I was very surprised at how small the flat iron was. I was not expecting a mini flat iron. Too small for all my hair.

I guess this is supposed to heat up but not get extremely hot....I don't know if this a safety feature designed for personal protection or if it the nature of this flat iron, in any event it will straighten my hair and the price makes it worth the buy. This would be a great back up iron for traveling.
