No temp regulation, an on/off switch, and a very long cord.
Hair did not get caught in the plastic casing.
Handle did not get too hot while using.
Worked just as well in Europe (of course you will need the plug converter which costs like 2 bucks, but other than that you're good).
The object feels solid, no rattling parts, no cheap plastic feel.

I have the 1" Jose Eber, which is also a fabulous product, but I took this one to France recently and it worked wonders! At first, I was skeptical of the dual voltage (it does not have a switch, it just converts automatically), but did not notice any difference in heat from the US to Europe. The only problem I could see would be a time crunch while the tiny size is perfect to pack in a suitcase, it takes a bit longer than larger irons to work through my long, curly hair. That's quite all right, though, because I had beautiful, silky hair the whole time I was in Paris!Read Best Reviews of Jose Eber Petite Ceramic .5" Hair Straightener Here
This flat iron is tiny, it was even smaller than I expected and it looks like a toy for your daughter's doll but don't be fooled it's worth it weight and then some. It heats up fast and does fantastic curls that hold. It is compact enough to take in a clutch or purse for quick touch ups. I also have the 1" by John Eber ($25) that I bought for my daughetr, I was impressed with that as well, it worked as good as my $260 FHI, and I've since stopped using my FHI. Oh don't forget it's also dual voltage, for those trips to Europe and elsewhere!Want Jose Eber Petite Ceramic .5" Hair Straightener Discount?
