LISCIO Crystal Cream Straighteners & Neutralizer - Normal

This product is great IF used correctly. I started off thinking I was going to do this myself but for some reason I was nervous. How long do I leave the product on for? How much? Will I fry my hair? etc. So instead I contacted a friend of a friend who had done hair for over 10 years. I brought the two items shown and my new CERAMIC straightener to heated up to 450 degrees (from the reviews I read, the hotter the better).

So, she put the first step on. She did not do small sections like EVERYONE said to do. But I was like this woman is a professional . . . so I will keep my mouth shut. She rinsed and then straightened with her $20 straightener. It was straight (again so I thought it may work). She put the Neutralizer on my hair and then rinsed. When she was done, now don't get me wrong it was much tamer BUT I WANTED STRAIGHT LIKE ALL THE OTHERS. So she gave me a cut, straighten my hair again with the straightener and I was off.

I was sort of upset and since she only had the first step on for like 7 minutes and the back of the bottle said up to 30 I did it again myself. I put it on very small sections all the way up my hair. I left on for about 5 minutes after I was completely done. Then I rinsed in the shower. Got out, blow dried and started to straighten my hair in VERY SMALL SECTIONS. Then I repeated putting the Neutralizer on in VERY SMALL SECTIONS all the way up my hair. Towards my bangs I was worried that it has taken me too long so I pasted the neutralizer on from about one inch above my ear to the top of my bangs (i do a side part). Hopped back in the shower and rinsed. Got out and brushed, added a little leave in conditioner and started blow drying OMG IT WAS STRAIGHT. Bad is my ends are a little damaged, but who cares MY HAIR WAS STRAIGHT, except the hair under the bangs. It was completly my fault cause I totally rushed that area.

Took me about 1.5 hours total. I have thin hair that is curly and very frizzy. Not really a cute curl but more like a wave. Excellent product, and I think anyone can do this at home JUST USE SMALL SECTIONS WITH A HOT CERAMIC STRAIGHTENER.

Works very well on curly and wavy hair. It will keep hair straight forever, its just that when your hair grows back, it will be your natural texture. So the time that your hair stays straight is the amount of time it takes your hair to regrow, which is different for everybody from about 3 to 8 months. Like stated by another reviewer, YOU MUST BE CAREFUL! if you apply it for too long, you will SEVERELY damage your hair. It really is a great product only if its done right. For starters I would recommend doing it on small batches of hair to determine the amount of time which is right for you starting with five minutes and going up (amount of time solution is on). Great product, highly recommended
