Gold 'N Hot GH9087 Professional Straightening Iron, 2"

I have bought this straightening iron before in the past and it accidently dropped and broke so I wanted a new one to replace it. I use the Hot & Gold just for daily maintainance, and it does exactly what I want. But for an initial good straignening after washing and blowdrying my hair I use a CHI.

This was the first flat iron I ever owned. I was at college and asked my mom to buy me one, she came back with the cheapest available.

Reasons NOT to buy

1. Made of cheap material, akward to use

2. Takes a long time to heat and only has (high/low setting)

3. Heat is uneven and it has burnt my hair

Save a few more dollars and get your self a mid-range flat iron.

My own fault I cannot return, due to the fact I felt sure it would work just fine and threw the packaging on the fire the same night I recieved it.... it does not heat up very well ie the heat even on high you can still keep your hand on the iron, it does not grip your hair properly, the 2 irons when pushed together slide sideways even if you try and tighten the screws, there is hardly any tension, maybe I got the black sheep of the box but USELESS!!!

the iron smokes like its burning (its not) and its not steam and daughter is afraid to use it as is
