I purchased this brush to style my fine hair while blow-drying. The label states "controls frizz," which was not really an issue for me; I actually wanted to use the brush to add body, including a bit of curl on the ends. This brush has worked very well for my purposes. One my hair is mostly dry, I use the brush for styling, first using my blow dryer to heat the metal barrel of the brush, then using the cool shot of my dryer to set in the style.

This brush has several additional nice features as well. First, although the bristles are stiff, they are actually quite flexible as well, so they move easily in your hair. Second, the "ouchless" aspect of this brush means that if it accidentally becomes tangled in your hair (which has actually never happened to me), you can retract the bristles using the button at the top, and the brush will slip right out. Although I've never gotten the brush stuck in my hair, I DO like the retractable bristle function, as it makes the brush very easy to clean!

I think that this is a great product overall, and I would recommend it.

This brush is outstanding for de-frizzing curly hair. Unlike other brushes, it has a smooth ceramic handle so that your hair doesn't get caught and broken as it does with the rubber handle brushes. I used mine so much that I need a replacement. I bought two others, but they both tear my hair as it gets caught around the rubber handles. This brush is "ouchless" as advertised.

I've had this brush for several years, and it's the ONLY one that I'll buy! It finally started to break (after years of wear and tear, including some abuse by two sweet little toddlers--it's still usable, but the plastic is cracked so its days are limited), and I scoured my local drug stores and the internet to find it.

I have fine, straight hair, and I use this brush when I blow dry to add volume and a little bend to the ends. My favorite part of the brush, and the reason that I originally bought it, is that the head of the brush doesn't have any rubber parts or large creases for my strands of hair to get caught in. I've had a problem with hairs getting caught in the creases of other brushes and then pulling out when I pull the brush back. I also like the bristles: longer than most round brushes, soft enough not to scratch holes in your head, but sturdy enough to actually comb through your hair. The quick release button is a nice feature, too. I have not had to use it to untangle it from my hair (or anyone else's for that matter), but it makes cleaning it off so simple. Just push the button and slide of the hair (not that it pulls hair out excessively... just natural lost hair from brushing).

Like I said... this is my favorite round brush ever, ever, ever! I'm ordering two, to make sure I always have a back-up.

I usually love goody's ouchless brushes because of my fine hairbut this was TERRIBLE!

I burned off a HUGE section of my already thin-fine hair using this brush. I didn't keep the dryer on any longer then a few seconds the brush gets SOOO hot. I thought it must be my hair dryer, so I went out and bought a new hair dryer and it did it again this morning!

I love, love, love this brush. I have fine hair and need the barrel brush to help increase volume, but I got tired of my hair getting caught on the rubbery grip of other brushes or in small grooves where the brush barrel meets the handle. No such problems with this one. Plus, you can easily clean it out by retracting the bristles. I buy it in bulk!!
