I asked for flat iron for Christmas and my hairstylist mom made a good pick, I think. I have only mildly wavy hair that straightens easily, so just about any iron has worked well for me I usually only use them to flatten unruly sections. I like this one so much I might use it more, though. Temp can be adjusted up to 480 degrees, and my favorite part is the digital thermometer, so you can watch it warm up (it's FAST!) It only took a little practice to master the art of curling my hair under at the ends a cute way to spruce up ponytail days. Most prior irons I've used have been on the 'cheap' side so this one makes me feel spoiled. I've had a phobia of leaving the house with my iron plugged in for YEARS, but this has automatic shut-off. If you're looking for a great flat iron you have found it! I just had to have this flat iron after my hair stylist used it on me. It can reach 450 degrees in less than 30 seconds! Straightens my hair and leaves it so shiny! I love the digital aspect of it too. It will also turn of on it's own if you forget to (who hasn't). Also great for the price!
