Diane Jetz Flat Iron

I received this flat iron in my kit when I first started attending school for cosmetology, I did not purchase it from Amazon. First off, I loved the appearance: black and silver with black plates and minimal buttons make it look very sleek and professional. I straighten my hair almost every day, and was previously using the Remington Wet-2-Straight; this iron is far, far superior.

It heats up remarkably fast as claimed, in under one minute, which is great for when you're in a hurry. I love that you can adjust the temperature every 5 degrees as well, as I have fine, medium-thickness hair and don't need a whole lot of heat to work with it. This iron glides through my hair beautifully with no snagging or hair pulling. As my hair is naturally fairly straight, I unfortunately cannot accurately determine how many passes it takes to straighten entirely, but 1-2 passes works perfectly for me. My hair feels significantly more soft, sleek and smooth after I straighten it, which I've NEVER had happen when using my old straightener.

I have not personally used this flat iron for curling or waving, but I know quite a few who have. This includes the head honcho at my school, who has been in the business for years and is far more knowledgeable than anyone I've met, and her hair looks absolutely beautiful when she waves/curls it with this tool. As she wears her hair like this almost every day, I imagine it's fairly quick and easy to use it this way.

Overall, I would highly recommend this iron no matter what you're buying it for; personal use, professional use, straightening, waving, curling, flipping, etc. It's a gorgeous flat iron that works wonderfully and has a very reasonable price tag compared to most professional styling products.

This flat iron is amazing! I'm mixed with very curly think hair. I paid $130 on the Babyliss and it was horrible at straightening my hair. It just didn't get very flat. But a friend used this on my hair and it came out so pretty so I bought it! It really gets it straight and still looks healthy. People even compliment me on the difference.

I use this in beauty school. Saturday I used it on a real person who had course afro-puerto rican textured hair. This iron glide through her hair and made it look like glass.
