I have purchased a hot tools curling iron in the past and loved it. I thought this flat iron would be the same, but unfortunately not. I'm not sure if I got a defective one or what but it does not work well at all. It seems like the only thing that gets really hot is the outside, but not necessarily the plates themselves. I went over the same pieces of hair several times & they still didn't straighten. The only thing it did was get my hair snagged in the plates.
