I used these as a child, and when I got a job that required me to have my hair up, I remembered the secure long lasting hold that these things give you.

They work as well as I remember, but after a few uses, the fabric rips and exposes the extremely sharp metal bands underneath, which is not a problem I remember having when I used them in the past. I've already cut myself a few times using them. I just wonder if something caused the fabric to weaken or what the problem could be.

For the money, it's a great product. Just beware the sharp edges, especially after a few uses.

I have been using the Hairagami perfect bun makers for at least the past 14 years. Crazy eh? I remember when these things were on infomercials at 2am and my mom just had to buy them for me! I used to be in what you would think of as the ROTC as a teen and now as an adult I am a police officer. I have long hair that I hate to fool around with. The hairagami makes getting ready for work a breeze. I simply pull my hair back into a pony tail, roll it into a bun and throw a scrunchy around the bun to secure any loose hairs. Everyone always comments on how nice my hair looks and what a perfect bun I have. I wish they were referring to my butt, but alas they say BUN and not BUNS :-P I know you can do a bunch of different hair styles with these things but I just need it for the simplest of the simple. If you too have to keep your hair pulled back and off your shoulders you should be ordering these. Order at least 4 at a time. They last for a good 2-3 years. After a while the metal "slap bracelet" material inside gives up and cracks no longer allowing you to roll the perfect bun but with a several year lifespan per order I am a happy girl.
