At first, I was happy because the seller sent the product very quickly and it arrived before the delivery estimate.
But as soon as I opened the box, it was all downhill from there. The gloves it came with already had stains all over them, which was strange because all of the product was tightly sealed. But I didn't mind.
Then I go to read the instructions and find that this kit requires you to use a brush (like a hair dye brush for getting all of the product onto your hair), but they don't include that. Like I'm supposed to just have one lying around.
Then I go straighten my hair and apply the product as instructed. I put the cap on and let it sit for over 10 hours, as they suggest.
Then when I went to wash it out this morning, I found it extremely difficult to get out. Even when you crush up the hardness, there's still little chunks of it stuck throughout your hair. It's like trying to get a mixture of sand and tar out of your hair. I still wasn't able to get all of it out my vision was going black and I was about to pass out from standing in the shower too long, wrestling with this crap in my hair. So I had to get out. No decent hair product should take more than an hour to rinse out.
And the worst part? It had ZERO effect on my hair. Zero. I can tolerate a hair product with a messy application process (and applying this to your hair is VERY messy). I can tolerate a hair product with a moderately high price tag for what it is (mashed up plant stuff is all this is). I can even tolerate a hair product that comes with dirty gloves. However, I CANNOT tolerate a hair product that flat out doesn't work.
Because I read the instructions several times, I know that if your hair is very curly, it will take several treatments for it to become straight. However, I was expecting to see at least a SLIGHT reduction in the curl of my hair to see that it is working. I'm not going to invest anymore money into this expensive product when I don't have a shred of evidence that it will eventually work.
It's like this company is deliberately trying to cheat people out of their money. It's obviously geared toward people with very curly hair. If your hair is very curly, you have to buy a ridiculous amount of this treatment to see if it will get your hair straight. And by the time you figure out whether or not it works, you've already wasted about $500! I'm going to take the hint I found this morning when I tried to rinse this stuff out and my hair wasn't one bit changed: it doesn't freaking work.
I'd rather spend my money on something that I am sure will work (such as a relaxer or some other kind of permanent hair straightening method that is more widely used), than gamble away $300-$500 on the possibility that this MIGHT work EVENTUALLY...I know that those things are damaging, but at least they do what they claim to do the vast majority of the time: get your hair straight.
The product also claims to dye your hair black. If you have very light hair, it might get your hair darker. However, if you have very dark brown hair and want jet black hair, this does almost nothing. There is very little visible change in my hair color, and what little change there is might be just because I haven't been able to wash all the stuff out yet.
In my experience, this product fails on ALL of its claims. There was NO evidence that this product would have any straightening effect, even a little bit. It does NOT dye your hair jet black the color it dyes is more like a 1B (Natural Black), which is different from Jet Black (1) on the hair color scale used by most salons and hair companies.
It does nothing. It stains your scalp for a few days, and that's it. I can't speak for people who have different hair than me (such as people who only have a little bit of curl), but if you have very tight thick curls, then most likely...this either won't work or your pockets will be all spent out by the time it eventually does (if ever).
Also, I strongly suspect that the 5-star reviews of this product that are up at the moment are fake. They're simply too conveniently positive and don't mention anything about how messy this product is, how difficult it is to get out of your hair, and the fact that it does not dye hair the color it claims to. They're suspiciously, conveniently positive. I've researched this product all over the internet and outside of Amazon, there are zero reviews of it and zero evidence that it works. Yet miraculously it has a 5-star rating on Amazon? Fake.
I'm VERY disappointed in this product and would not recommend it to anyone. Like I said, the straightening effect was zero. It's just a messy hair dye. And if you want a natural hair dye, there are other good ones for much cheaper with GENUINE good reviews and in the RIGHT COLOR. I'm not going to buy this again and waste all my money HOPING this will eventually work, like they want people to. I'm going to try Japanese hair straightening instead; at least I've seen evidence from people that it works. If there's anything you can try BESIDES this product, go for it. Don't waste your money here. This product did not work for me. I am african american with 4a/4b/4c hair. It did make my hair nice and black, so I gave it two stars. I wasn't looking for this product to make my hair straight. I just wanted it to loosen my curl a little bit like a texturizer.
The application is very messy, which I wouldn't mind if it worked. I know they say it could take several applications. However. after one use, it made my hair hard. The first time I used Curlaway, it didn't loosen my curl either. But at least it made it softer and easier to manage.
Now I have to wait until my hair grows out to try something else because you can't use any other process on top of it. At least my hair is short and I only used have the jar.
If anyone would like to try the other half, I can send it to you for $25. You can try it and see if it works for you without spending $100 like I did.

This product is just amazing! My hair used to be a disaster... It was all damaged from years of straightening. After using Cleopatra it looks amazing! I let it dry naturally after the shower, and it dries out straight! It took me 3 treatments to get to the desired results, but it was worth the wait. My hair is silky straight and looks healthier than ever. This is a dream coming true no more blow drying an no more ironing. Thank you Cleopatra!Read Best Reviews of Bellapreto Natural Permanent Hair Straightener Cream Here
I have been looking far a wide for a product like this. So glad to have found it! I am not into using harsh chemicals in my hair because i don't have tons of hair and always worry about losing hair. This cleopatra did not damage my hair at all. As a matter of fact it feels really healthy and shiny now. love the luster in my hair. I did have to use more that one treatment to get it really straight but it did work after my second treatment my hair was completely straight. I do admit that the application and removal was a little tricky a little messy, but for me, its was worth it to get it over with in one day and then not have to worry about straightening my hair for the rest of the year.Want Bellapreto Natural Permanent Hair Straightener Cream Discount?
I really did not believe that this cream was going to work. But it did! I told the seller that i have really curly hair and she advised me to use more than 1 treatment so i did. A world of difference after the second treatmeant, and completely striaght when i did it a third time. very cool and very black.Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Flat Iron Perfector Straightening Mist 48 Hour Finish, 6 Fluid

It's a good spray, though. It does smell good, but when I flat ironed with it, my hair was dry like straw.
I found the only way this works and leaves my hair nice is by air drying. Probably because the alcohol evaporates with the water, as my hair dries.
Anyway, glad to know others had success. I made the mistake of spraying a bit of this on my hair while dry, thinking it would give my hair a burst of moisture as my hair was frizzing a bit, and my hair parched up really nastily.
I'd recommend this to someone with normal/oil hair. Mines normal/curly hair, and it's humid where I live. This is wonderful! I have frizzy hair that curls/frizzes at the first drop of sweat or rain, and this keeps my hair looking smooth and great all day. I love this stuff!!Perfect! As described, It works great for my hair. Keeps it straight for 24-48 hours, And it smells wonderful!! Thank you!I have really frizzy, wavy, and thick hair. I refuse to go out in public with my natural hair so I've straighten it everyday for the past 5 years. Usually my hair gets damaged quickly. It turns dry, lifeless, and gets lots of split ends. I have to get a haircut every so often to chop off the split ends. I've tried many heat styling sprays but none of them help. I purchased this product a few months and and I LOVE IT! I can finally let my hair grow out long because this stuff prevents split ends, it makes my hair soo shiny and silky. My hair has not dried out at all thanks to this! i highly recommend it for someone who uses heat appliances on their hair often. it works really well.My hair is long.. damaged.. split.. and somehow it still made it shiny and sexy!
Goes REALLY REALLY well with the blow dry cream.

The unit has spindles which fit either size of roller no need to place small rollers on small spindles and medium rollers on medium size ones. One size spindle fits all. This is an advantage if you want to travel with ALL 1-inch size. You can buy one unit and then purchase additional rollers by filling in the replacement order form that comes in the box. Conair will sell you three 1 inch size rollers for $6.00 plus $1.00 postage/handling. For $14 you can have enough 1 inch rollers to replace the 3/4 in the unit.
I found the rollers do indeed get hot enough, not only at the base but all throughout the roller, top to bottom. You may have to let them heat for about 10 minutes, though.
1 inch rollers a bit too tight for me so I will have to return the unit. I will continue to travel with my standard set which has my favorite 1 1/4 size rollers, removing of course the top transparent lid which never fails to crack as it goes through luggage handling in an airport.I saw this in one of the travel brochures, but more expensive. This dual watt curler works great! The way the curler is constructed (with the spokes), I don't even need plastic clips in addition to the wire clips = they stay on with just the wire clips.

Bought this for my wife before our vacation. She was very satisfied with the size of the set as well as how they worked.Read Best Reviews of Travel Smart by Conair Heat Setter, White Here
Curlers don't heat well, take a long time and then not very hot. Pins to hold them in also don't work too well, curlers fall out if you walk around fast, which I tend to do while getting ready to leave house. Disappointed.Very efficient and is small and convenient for travel as it takes up little rooml bought a second one for my sisterRemington Random Dot Printed Straightener

It doesn't burn your hair, the plates dont chip off and I havent had any problems with it shorting out so far (knock on wood).
The longest a flat iron has ever lasted me was 1 1/2 years at best..
This is defiantly worth every penny.

Unlike my sister's flat iron, this one has wider plates, is a little heaver and you can be used it wet to dry your hair, which the other Amika irons don't do. This saves you loads of time in the morning when you're prepping for work or school. For the record, I have thick, wavy shoulder length hair that just looks like cr*p without some form of styling.
I've NEVER been able to get my hair totally straight, no matter how long I sat there blowing hot air at my hair with a tough bristle brush, no matter how many times I went back to fix spots, it just never was going to submit. It was even worse when I lived in Florida with all the humidity. Now, with this iron my hair not only gets straight, it stays straight for days, EVEN in south Florida weather! And this is without the addition of straightening balms or products of the like; its just the iron.
Regarding the issue of the weight of this flat iron, I think if you can hold a hair dryer and a round bristle brush while trying to get your hair straight, this should be no problem. Its definitely less of a hassle for me. Plus, since the plates are larger that means more coverage and faster completion time.
Bottom line: This is gold to anyone who needs a flat iron that actually straightens your hair superbly and makes it look and feel healthy and smooth to boot!It heats very quickly, and nice and wide surface area. Leaves hair really smooth, no burning or drying of hair. recommend this product!

It heats up almost instantaneously, which is wonderful b/c my daughter is always in a rush in the morning. It works very fast on her hair, one slow pass and her hair is silky and straight. We've been using it daily for months without any signs of damaging her hair, which makes us very happy. It has a bit of a ridge on the side, so you can press it close to the scalp without burning (although, on second thought, all flatteners must have this or they'd be very dangerous). Sometimes her hair can feel a little hot to touch after pulling it through the straightener, but it's a small price to pay given how quickly this straightens her hair.Highly recommended.

The curls it produces don't necessarily look like the sample image, but they are still very pretty. The unique shape of the barrel, which I kind of think of as a unicorn horn, gives you curls that are both loose and tight, depending on how you wrap your hair. If you spread the hair out more on the barrel your curls will be looser, and if you wrap it tighter on skinnier parts of the barrel, the curls will be tighter. I prefer to hold it above my head and wrap the hair from top to bottom, without using the handle clip. The handle is helpful when doing the back and underside of my head, so that I can wrap from the bottom up, but the top layers I always do by manually wrapping the hair from the scalp down.
It was very simple to figure out since I'm used to wrapping my hair around my normal curling iron anyways (without using the clip part) but there are decent instructions included with tips on how to get the best results. One key I've found to really getting great curls is to make sure and unwrap the hair off the curling iron rather than just letting go of the end and letting it unwind on it's own; that can result in a big ratty mess. Unwrapping it carefully helps the curl keep its shape and makes a big difference.
My only complaint is that there were no suggestions on what heat setting to use for your hair type, so I'm not sure if I'm using the appropriate one. I've been keeping it on level 6 (there are 10 temp settings) and the curls hold all day. I've never had a curling iron that could set curls like this one unless I was using gobs of hairspray beforehand, which is damaging to your hair.
One thing I would note is that this curling iron won't necessarily give you those Lauren Conrad loose and flowey waves, and it doesn't give much volume since the barrel isn't very big. I think something like the Conair Infiniti You Curl Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron, Colors May Vary is better for that. What this curling iron does is give you a head of beautiful natural looking curls that really last. I've even gone a couple days between shampoos and had the curls still look pretty decent on day two. My hair is to the middle of my back and with this tool I can have it curled in no time. Two thumbs up!I was a little intimidated by this products at first, before I tried it I though I'm not going to like this at all, it looks complicated, but I was so wrong!
My hair is a medium length, it has a slight natural wave to it, nothing special. But once I used the heat wave creator it gave my hair a really nice natural waves, beachy hair waves. I'm also not one who likes to do much with my hair, which for me is a big thing when I purchase products because I don't want to spend hours on my hair, I have kids and a busy life style, I don't have the time. But when I got this I plugged it in and I was so surprised at how fast it got warm then hot. Speedy, just the way I like it, another pro in my book. Also what I did I just grabbed chunks of my hair in no particular order, I spent maybe a total of 20 minutes on my hair and that was it. I was beyond trilled at the results I called my sister up who is A-mazing at doing hair and make up and showed her on face talk, lol. She was so impressed, she came over and used it and loved it as well.
I have had no complaints about this product what so ever. If I had to choose something I would say maybe the clamp? The clamp doesn't bother me at all when I'm curling my hair. I don't use curling iron that have a clamp. Before I got the Goody Heat wave Creator, I was using an old curling iron that I had just removed the clamp to use the barrel portion only. Besides that I do recommend this product, I was reading some of the negative comments and I personally don't think the negatives were directed at the product, I just think that this is a new unusual item and some people are stuck in their ways and not liking it because of the clamp, or because it doesn't have a longer clamp. Adapt! it's not rocket science, this is a simple tool.
For those who said it doesn't work on short/long hair, I'm not sure what the problem is? I just got my hair cut it was long, long (a few inches from my butt long)and I was able to use it then and after just fine! I know this because I was worried the waves wouldn't look as good if my hair was slightly shorter. But it works just fine either way. Hope this review helps.

POSITIVES: It heats up very quickly. It does a good job of creating loose, natural curls and I received many compliments on my hair.NEGATIVES:
This curling iron works best with very long hair. I say this because I had trouble keeping my shorter locks of hair from falling off the iron. As you can see from the picture, the clip is very short. Compared to my older curling iron, which sandwiched my hair between two identically long clips, you must twirl long tresses of hair (like spaghetti round a fork) fully around the appliance to keep the hair from falling off. Otherwise you have to be careful not to accidentally touch a hot area when you're holding the hair in place (ouch!)
When using the clip, it is so short that it forces you to put your head very close to the heat of the iron, which I didn't find comfortable.
I'm guessing it was designed this way because a clip tends to flatten the volume a little.
OVERALL SCORE: Good but let your hair grow out for best results!

I was intimidated when I first picked up this curling iron to use it. I didn't think I'd be able to figure it out. I do have to say that my preferred curling iron, though, is a Marcel one. That's the kind without the clamp on it. The "professional" one. But since my last one broke, I haven't been able to find a decent replacement so I've been using a flat iron. What I do is flat iron my hair first. Maybe you can skip this step, but since I'm African-American, and I wash, wrap, and air dry my own hair, it needs more straightening first. After I flat iron it, I've figured out that the easiest way to use this is to hold the hair I want curled with hard on that side of my head. So if I'm working on the left side of my head, then I hold my parted hair in my left hand, grab the curling iron with my right hand, turn it upside down, and the twirl my hair around the barrel using my left hand. The one thing you'll want to do is leave about 1/2 to 1 inch of hair NOT curled at the very end of your hair. That avoids burns on your fingers. Ask me how I know this.
What I've discovered this is probably meant for longer hair than mine. My hair is shoulder length, maybe an inch past my shoulders. It's not the easiest thing in the world to get the waves but it works. I don't see in the product description that it's meant for longer hair, but the model does have longer hair. Smaller parts makes curlier curls. To avoid standing in front of the bathroom sink for hours, I only curled the "top" part, or crown, part with a few other curls surrounding those. Larger (wider) parts make wavier curls. To get this look it takes much less time. The problem for me with shoulder-length is that the wavier curls don't make much curl at all. They're there, just not a lot.
I like this curling iron. It works very well. You might burn your finger as you get used to it, but if you're a quick reactor, it won't be bad. For the length of my hair, a shorter barrel would be perfect!

I use a Remington Ceramic Curling Wand, 1 Inch, which is a smooth tapered wand without a clamp (and I really like it). But not being very knowledgeable or skilled with the art of curling, I thought it would be good to try out a different type of curling iron. This iron did produce a different type of curl, but I wasn't terribly impressed with either the curl or the operating of the iron. The clamp is very short, which is good in some ways, and in other ways it makes it a little harder to clamp your hair in it. But the part I really didn't care for was the big selling point of this iron the bumps. My hair had more of a tendency to end up between them instead of over them. The design also forced the hair to wind higher up the barrel than I wanted, leading to most of the hair at the end of the iron instead of evenly distributed. I also found the controls very poorly designed. There is simply a power button and a temperature dial. Simple is good, but this design was annoying in two ways. First, the dial didn't have an indicator to tell you which number was selected. The center one I guess? Second, it was really easy to accidentally hit the button and the dial when curling. I changed the temperature several times this way and once turned off the iron completely.
I think that maybe I have yet to get the hang of this iron, so I will keep trying. But my other iron took all of two or three curls before I felt comfortable with it, so I don't feel like this iron's learning curve should be that much higher.

I love this curling wand! I've been looking for a good 1.5 in curling wand for a long time to create a specific style and this fits the bill! While I find the heatproof glove awkward to use, it does what it's designed to do, I just go without it and risk burning my fingers. My hair does NOT like to hold a curl, but so far my curls have lasted all day and I've gotten compliments from total strangers. Oh, and the best part of the curling wand is that the power button and heat controls are recessed into the handle so I don't keep turning it off mid curl! I definitely recommend this curling wand!Read Best Reviews of Remington CI5338 Keratin Therapy Curling Wand, 1 1/2 Inches Here
