I brought this flat iron because my sister had one just like it but her's cracked when she dropped it. I love it just like I loved her's however I'm a bit disapointed in how small it is, I wish it came in a 1.5 inch size because I have rather thick hair, I still love it though it just takes longer because I have to flat iron smaller pieces. All in all a great flat iron and under 50?! You cant beat that

I love this item. I have pretty wavy hair and this makes it pin straight and super shiny. I have seen people use it to put ringlet curls in their hair, I have not yet tried that, but am excited to look up hoe to do it and try it out.

HERSTYLER COLORFUL SEASON PURPLE CERAMIC FLAT IRON

I have to admit that I was a little leery about purchasing a straightening iron that was "valued" at $200 and I was getting it for $28. I'm used to spending anywhere from $0 to $150 trying to find the best straightening iron. I can honestly tell you that this flat iron is a steal at less than $30!

When I looked over the instructions I saw that it heats up in less than 25 seconds. I can verify that this is completely true. I'm sure you were like me and had to turn your flat iron on, walk away and take care of other things, and then straighten your hair. Not with this one. I haven't had any issues with it snagging my hair and it actually gets hotter than I need it to which is a rarity for my thick hair. The ionizer that it has really does make my hair noticeably smoother and softer.

Basically, if you're on the search for a new flat iron, your search has ended.

I have this same straightener, but Seasons 2. I bought it from the mall about 5 years ago for $175. It has been great. I share it with my teenage daughter, but it was time for her to have her own. I really didn't want to spend $175 so I started looking online. At $23 this was a steal. I am pretty sure the only difference is that this one is the original Seasons, not the Seasons 2. It doesn't open as wide as the Seasons 2. But it doesn't seem to be a problem, and that is the only difference we have noticed. My daughter is thrilled with it, and I am thrilled with the price!

I purchased this flattening iron after my friend made fun of my hair. I've gotten quite a few compliments now!

Amazon said MSRP is a whopping $150-200+, although I have seen it at many other places for under $40 as well.

HerStyler Iron Pros:

1. Heats very quickly ready within 30 seconds!

2. Ceramic plates are very smooth hair won't snag.

3. Leaves hair shiny and untangled for the rest of the night. After washing hair, hair looks about the same as before heating!

4. Very lightweight

(A Plus): Comes in beautiful, padded, matching satin bag for travel usage.

Cons:

1. No temperature control or indicator there is only one on/off button. We need about 400 degrees F for regular, good styling. But damaged hair needs about 300 degrees.

2. Will not be the best iron if your hair is very thick. It will take a long time because of its size. But hey, just get this badboy in a bigger size.

Overall this is well worth the money! Love it.

Vidal Sassoon Ceramic Straightener 1"

I bought one of these for $12 at a local retailer thinking it would be a good replacement for the Clairol straightener I've had for several years that had some

"burnt on" straigtener spray and was starting to tug at my hair.

Wrong. Despite the claim of "true grip" plates, this iron does not have floating plates which is what I assumed they were referring to. The plates are stationary and supposedly angled to compensate for the shape of the iron to avoid gaps between them. This is not the case. Unless you squeeze the heck out of the iron, in which case your hair won't move between the plates at all, there is a very sizable gap between them once you get past the halfway point on the plates. The part closest to the handle is just the opposite and I found it pulling my hair. The "sweet spot" is about an inch long IF THAT and it's rather difficult to keep your hair in that area without it either moving up and sliding out or moving down and getting yanked and possibly broken.

I have already ordered another iron from a different manufacturer (with floating plates!) and as soon as it arrives, this Vidal Sassoon will be hitting the trash. It's a shame really, because it seems to work good if you can keep the hair in the right spot. But I already have a shortage of hair.. I'm not about to lose more to this thing yanking it out.

It made my nose slightly slimmer and more defined, but that's only because I've been looking at my nose so much in the mirror. The differences are very very slight. I was a bit skeptical about Nose Right. I visited the official website an to be honest it looked kind of scamish. So I started going on YouTube and other sources reading reviews. Some were bad, but most were good. So,this triggered me to try it out. I wanted to order it on Amazon since I knew I would get a better deal. I placed the order in and within about 2 weeks it came. Soon as it came I'd tried it out. It's really tight around the nose and squeezed my nose until I couldn't breathe so I had to learn to breathe out my mouth while using it. The website (NoseRight.com) recommended to use it 15 mins a day, but I did more then that daily. I don't have a bridge, however; my nose is wide and I wanted to make it more slimmer. It takes a while, however; this product really works! Within two days of using it I can tell my nose changed. I wear it 3 times a day for about an hour.Just clip it on the nose and done. Results will come, but it takes time. I love this thing!

I just like t for the silliness factor. It's worth buying. Put your hair in giant pink sponge curlers, apply an avocado mask, place this on your nose and head out to the Supermarket in a neon pink mu-mu and fuzzy slippers.

Oh, and I did try to use it, but it made my nose hurt and lose circulation after about 10 minutes. I don't see how this would do anything positive, except maybe in a psychosomatic way.

EDIT: I have found that if I clamp this on to the top of the bridge of my nose it can relieve a tension headache.

My Fourteen year old is the primary flat iron user in the house. I got her this one last year so that she would not leave the iron on a surface that might melt, mar or catch fire. I especially like that you can roll it in the mat and stuff it in the bag while it is still hot. She would never have the patience to put it away properly if she had to wait for it to cool down. the case and mat are both pretty nice. i had to return the item because it bothered me that the case has three velcro attachments to the middle of the mat. i could've probably easily used a seam ripper to take off the velcro, but i thought i would rather continue looking for a case that i liked without any modifications. also, the mat was a soft cotton that curled at the corners a bit when it is fastened around the case.

if you're not particularly finicky about these things, the case and mat will do a good job of protecting your counter and flat iron, and i do really like that there is a divider in the case that keeps the cord from getting melted by the hot iron.

my hair is very thick, naturally curly, and very long. this heats up very quickly and i love that i can select the temperature depending on if it's for the first straightening or a touch up. it has a swivel cord that works well and the outside of the iron doesn't get hot except at the very opening end it is warm. it doesn't pull or crease my hair. i would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a good iron but not wanting to spend a hundred dollars or more. i was nervous about it being cheaper in price, but i'm not disappointed at all!
