I saw they were selling these in the mall for way more $$. I found it on amazon for way less. I love it. It has ceramic plates instead of metal. Slides over my hair like butter and looks healthier after one use. Heats up quickly and on;y have to go over each section 1 time. So fast. I will be purchasing another for my teen daughter and will never go back to the other types of straighting irons again.
I have used this straightener for a couple months because my old Remmington one died on me. This straightener fried my hair and damaged it to the point of no return.I have tried heat protection spray on top of every conditioning treatment I could find and nothing can seem to fix my hair. My hair is very fine and even on the lowest setting, this flat iron is too destructive for it. I have just purchased a new one online and I am hoping for better luck.

I have been using cheap Conair type straighteners from Target for years. I finally broke down and bought this one when I saw it at TJ Maxx for $29.99, according to the box, this normally retails for $200. This makes my hair look like I walked out of a salon with pin straight shiny hair. I have very thick wavy hair and works like a charm for me. If you have super thin/fine hair this straightener is probably to powerful for you, but for girls with lots of hair this is totally worth it, and it is in an adorable print! I recently just bought this straightener and tried it yesterday. I have to say, I am very pleased with the results. I'm Asian so my hair is generally thin but it's also naturally wavy and frizzy due to humid weather. I straightened it around 8 in the morning and went out for the entire day during a massive heat wave. After the whole day of sweating and wind blowing in my face, my hair was still straight! Usually after an hour of commuting my hair goes back to its wavy-self and poofs up like a frizzball. How amazing is that. It also heats up very quickly and my hair does not get caught in the hinge unlike my old straightener. It takes me only a couple of minutes to straighten and I only have to run it through my hair once. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase!

I bought this straightener for a trip because it was dual voltage. I have only used it for about two weeks, but so far I have loved it. I used it in Israel and did not even have to move a switch for it to work on their 240V system. Of course an adapter plug was needed for their wall socket, but all in all this worked out fabulously. It heated up very quickly and has a kind of lock on it so it closes up nicely to put in your luggage while still warm.

I purchased this today and I am amazed by the results. I was a little skeptical at first, given that it was only $34. I have very long, thick hair and the temp on this thing gets way up there which works amazing with my hair. I was able to cut the time it takes to straighten my hair in half! Hair is Silky smooth and does not burn your hair on the high setting. I also like that it is a little wider than most flat irons, but definitely works best for hair like mine.
