I used these as a child, and when I got a job that required me to have my hair up, I remembered the secure long lasting hold that these things give you.

They work as well as I remember, but after a few uses, the fabric rips and exposes the extremely sharp metal bands underneath, which is not a problem I remember having when I used them in the past. I've already cut myself a few times using them. I just wonder if something caused the fabric to weaken or what the problem could be.

For the money, it's a great product. Just beware the sharp edges, especially after a few uses.

I have been using the Hairagami perfect bun makers for at least the past 14 years. Crazy eh? I remember when these things were on infomercials at 2am and my mom just had to buy them for me! I used to be in what you would think of as the ROTC as a teen and now as an adult I am a police officer. I have long hair that I hate to fool around with. The hairagami makes getting ready for work a breeze. I simply pull my hair back into a pony tail, roll it into a bun and throw a scrunchy around the bun to secure any loose hairs. Everyone always comments on how nice my hair looks and what a perfect bun I have. I wish they were referring to my butt, but alas they say BUN and not BUNS :-P I know you can do a bunch of different hair styles with these things but I just need it for the simplest of the simple. If you too have to keep your hair pulled back and off your shoulders you should be ordering these. Order at least 4 at a time. They last for a good 2-3 years. After a while the metal "slap bracelet" material inside gives up and cracks no longer allowing you to roll the perfect bun but with a several year lifespan per order I am a happy girl.

This is by far the best curling iron I have ever used. Because it is not the spring-style, it is a little difficult to get used to............but once you do, you won't go back.

My hair is super straight and has about as much body as a piece of string. With this curling iron I can achieve a curl that will last longer than half an hour.

The curling iron gets very hot very fast. This is a great feature when you're in a hurry. If your not a professional or have practiced with the marcel grip, it takes a bit of time to get used to how to use it. However, when you know what your doing it is so much better the conventional curling iron. There are so many more things you can do to your hair with it.

I have used this product for at least fifteen years. I bought the first one from a beautician. I have naturally curly hair and it helps smooth those stubborn curls. It gets hotter then a store bought curling iron and will serve you faithfully for quite a few years. I have bought two in those fifteen years. The marcel style takes some getting used to but you quickly learn to manipulate it and will like it better than the spring type. It heats instantly with a wide range of heat settings. Start out lower and move up to the higher settings slowly until you find the temperature that works best for your hair type. Remember it does get extremely hot. I think you will love it once you get use to using a marcel.

I have been a hairdresser for several years, and I have found that the Hot Tools Curling Iron has gotten to the point the do not last even 2 or 3 months. There seeems to be a problem in their design of the wiring in the handle. It shorts out within a few months, and there is no way to repair it. I have now been looking at trying another company. I was so excited to try this flat iron because of the reviews that I read, but I'm really not too impressed. It's not that bad...I mean, it does it's job. My hair is straight when I'm done, but not before it gets caught between the plates and before I run it over my hair 3-4 times. My hair is naturally curly so I need a strong straightener to do the jobthis particular one takes just as long as the $15 ones I've bought from Wal-Mart. Not that it's that big of a deal, but I thought it was going to be neon pink like the picture, but it's pepto-bismol pink. I would have ordered another color had I known that! In all, it's alright, but not worth the price in my opinion. There is NO WAY the MSRP is $220 like the box says. No way.

I could not resist buying these 3 curling irons even though I only needed/wanted the largest one because ALL 3 cost less than just ONE at our local CVS and beauty product stores. However, you get what you pay for. The iron takes way too long to heat up and, even at full heat, does not get super hot. As a result, it doesn't actually curl hair well. Mine will not hold a curl for very long (if at all) when I use these irons. I'd advise spending the extra money for a better-quality curling iron.

I did not like these curlers at all. They did not heat up enough and they just did not work. The only reason I did not send them back is because I destroyed the package (will never do that again). Very disappointed

Don't make the mistake of trusting a name brand simply because you've had a good experience with a company's products in the past. I had to learn the hard way that not all Conaire products are created equally. This product nearly ruined my wedding because none of the curling irons heated adequately and, after 40+ minutes of struggling to no avail, had to be replaced before the stylist could work any further. Thanks to this wholly unanticipated problem, the ceremony started off much later than it should have! For slightly more money buy the Vidal Sassoon set of three curling irons in similar sizes (if you can find them). They heat up faster and hotter, which probably stems from the fact that the wattage is higher. A curling iron has only one function; it's not rocket science. This set of curling irons will make you crazy especially if you intend to use them in preparation for an important event. TIP: Look on the barrel of the curling iron for the WATTAGE (it will be hard to read but it's there). Avoid the lower wattage versions. It's the equivalent of purchasing the "child safe" version of the real thing. Come to think of it, perhaps Conaire anticipated that this glittery grape purple set of curling irons would appeal most to tweens and teens and that's why they are so underpowered. In any event, it's not "you" and it's not your hair. It's the product. It doesn't work. Don't buy it.

This holder works great in my small bathroom space. I did cut it down a little as it extended too far off the wall for me. I love not having my hairdryer on the floor anymore. Jilbere de Paris Ceramic Tools Flat Iron Holder

I bought this because I was tired of using the carrying pouch I had to protect my counter top. The problem with that was that it took up too much room and it was ugly. It was always out because I use my CHI every single day. So, I bought this. It solved all my problems. It suctioned very easily to my marble counter top and it's been there ever since. It hasn't moved at all and I'm not gentle when I'm shoving the iron in and out of it. If you have a CHI that you leave out all the time, this is a must. I wish I would have bought it 3 years ago when I bought my CHI. I hope this helps.

I've used this flat iron for year after purchasing it from a private sale website. Over the year it has lost its pink color (it's more of a yellow now). Even though I always use a heat protectant and never iron wet hair, it has damaged my curly hair so that most of it no longer curls. I had to cut it short just to get my curl back.
