It did take a few times to get the trick down I would put the mousse in (dry hair, didn't have a blow dryer) and then section it. Each section I would do a very quick, light spray and then use my fingers to rub in and brush it to get it all through the section, and then straighten it and repeat with the next section. Like I said, it took a few times to really figure out the right amount for my hair. The first time I used it I used too much and it was too uneven because I sprayed it whilst my hair was all down, as opposed to spraying it as I did each section. It worked great too when I cut my hair.
Well, due to having a baby I haven't really had the time to spend straightening my hair the past year. Only in the last few weeks have I tried. I got some stuff, Got 2 B, that you're supposed to spray in and then blow dry. Nope...does NOT work. I straightened it and within an hour my hair was starting to go back into a wave, it really sucked. It was also much thicker than with this Bed Head straightener my hair will forever be thick, but the Bed Head straightener does such a good job that it thins it out.
Seriously, I think that anyone who has bad results just hasn't played around with it enough to figure out what tricks work for their hair!
SO glad I found it again! I can't find it locally for some reason, so I was afraid they stopped making it. Glad I found it on Amazon and it's cheaper than in store too! Happy! :D

I have mostly gray, wavy, fine to coarse, frizzy hair. Typically flat iron the hair and it takes a pro-level flat iron to get it straight, and once the humidity hits 50% no flat iron in the world will help it.I bought this product yesterday, washed my hair (using Frizz-ease shampoo and conditioner), towel dried my hair, and sprayed product into my hair (not mousse-like or hairspray like but somewhere inbetween). The product says that your hair will dry and look like you flat ironed it. No. Not even close. My hair was its curly wavy frizzy mess.
So I flat ironed it and it took FOREVER. I had to switch to a hotter level flat iron. I was ready to write this review and do a thumbs down.
Then we drove to Wyoming. Today, Wyoming had 35 mile an hour winds and was very humid. My hair should be the size of a bowling ball. Nope, it's straight. Miraculous. But it gets better. It started to rain. We went for a walk with the dogs in the drizzle. Went in for dinner with straight hair. Oh my. Finally, to get to the hotel, it started to pour. Yup, we all got pretty wet (not drenched hair mind you, but damp). It is STILL straight.
Worth every minute of the time I spent flatironing it out. I have never had a product protect my hair as much as extra, extra straight. Like, like, like~~It definitely took some experimenting, but I've had the best results using it as a finishing product after I flat iron. My hair is naturally curly, and extremely susceptible to frizz. I get keratin treatments, and use Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy shampoo, conditioner, and flat iron spray & have had a lot of success with those, but in high humidity I wasn't able to keep the results for very long. Before I was just using hair spray, which would keep my hair strait, but not do much for the frizz after an hour or so. Plus I hate stiff hair. Now I use the Control Freak a--I spray it directly into my hand like mousse (it's very awkward/uneven to spray--biggest downside--I wouldn't recommend trying to spray directly onto your hair)and brush it evenly through my hair after I flat iron. It keeps my hair strait ALL DAY. I'd say it prevents 80-90% of my frizz from returning even in wind & humidity which is as much success as I've had with any product (and I've tried a lot). Also, it leaves my hair soft and natural feeling, no gross residue or stiffness. This product doesn't work exactly as advertised, but is still super effective. Would highly recommend to anyone who has to deal with a humid/difficult climate.I have been using this product for a long time and am so disappointed that it has been discontinued. That's why I began buying it online....until it's not available at all any longer.
