Herstyler Magenta Tourmaline Hair Straightener, 1 Inch

I purchased the Herstyler because I was tired of buying $20 flat irons that did not give me the results I wanted. I have coarse, African American hair that is relaxed and was looking for a flat iron that was less than $100 that I could use to straighten my new growth. This flat iron does just that. I don't use it every time I straighten my hair (you can't control the temperature and this flat iron gets really hot!) but when I have a lot of new growth, using this flat iron really does give my hair the "freshly relaxed" look.

I have purchased so many flat irons and expensive styling tools that just do not work for my hair. I'm happy to have finally found one that does. I probably wouldn't have purchased this flat iron for the retail price, but for just $30, this is an amazing tool.

I would give it 5 stars if I could adjust the temperature and if my hair didn't smoke so much when I use it. I haven't had any damage to my hair but I make sure I use a heat protectant before using this product. Once I use it on my hair, the results usually last for at least two weeks so at least I don't have to put that much heat on my hair on a regular basis.

I am very pleased with this product. I originally purchased the red herstyler from a kiosk at the mall. It had a white ceramic plate that was fine, but sometimes pulled your hair. Had it for at least 4+ yrs and finally gave up. I decided to look online for one and found this one.The magenta has a smooth silky like plate over the ceramic and glides thru your hair without any tugging or pulling hair. It heats up in seconds. i have thick black hair and it straightens it in less than 10 minutes and lasts for 2-3 days. I highly recommend this product.
