Former curling iron broke. The spring wouldn't hold the curling surface closed. I ordered this curling iron, and it is made to not stay closed. That blue bar is closed and held closed, which doesn't allow me to roll up my hair in the curling iron. NO HELP!!!! As far as I am concerned, it's junk!
