I was afraid it would fail me as it was only $40 bucks [from Sally Beauty Supply], but it works beautifully. I have a natural 4a curly afro and after two passes & a bit of heat serum my hair is straight as silk. Also, the rounded outside makes curling the hair with this very easy. I threw out my old pharmacy-bought Conair after this one.

Best flat iron I ever had. My granddaughters are just beginnng to get into hair and products. They rave about Grandma's flat iron. I need to purchase two for Christmas. Loving the price at Amazon.com. Perfect Christmas gift for teenagers. I only use half the heat setting and get wonderful curls. You hair does feel silky and bouncy!! Ok I read the reviews for this flat iron on here and I found out it was sold at Sally's beauty supply so I grabbed it for 39.99 which is very affordable esp for such a great iron, this thing get's hot and it works!!! I am an African American woman with thick coarse hair and this flat iron had my hair silky and straight!! The price and the quality of the flat iron are a win win buy it!!! Oh yeah the only thing i dont like is that it cuts off automatically after 60 mins, that can be a good thing and a bad thing its not a big issue. . .

I was returning a $90 flat iron that was horrible at Sallys and one of the employees said she heard good things about this flat iron.I bought it and was so surprised how great it works. My daughter has long curly hair and one pass down.. bone straight. I like this better than the Babyliss on her hair. Great price too... going to go get another one.
