I have tried many of these. the chi brand left my hair very dry and sticky. this fx flat iron spray is wonderful!! i use it everytime i shampoo my hair whether I am going to flat iron it or not. It leaves my hair super soft. shiny and healthy looking and feeling. throwing out all the others. this is a keeper for sure.

I have shoulder length, thick, straight hair and have used electric rollers daily to give my hair just a little direction for the day. I spray a little setting spray on my hair, plop in electric rollers, put on my makeup and then take out the rollers and I am good to go. I don't want anything that has "firm hold" or styling gel in it because those products make my hair stiff so I have to wash it every day. There used to be products designed for electric rollers on the market but they all seemed to disappear suddenly. I searched everywhere and tried lots of different products but they were all the same...stiff and useless. FX Flat Iron Shining Defrizzant was obviously designed for use with flat irons but in despiration I tried it. I am sure it is perfect with flat irons to straighten hair, but it is also perfect to use with hot rollers to give just a bit of soft curl for the day. It keeps the curl for the day but your hair is soft and brushable. It can be used daily without building up so that your hair feels like cardboard, and it gives a nice shine no matter what type of heat styler you use.

After Herbal Essences stopped making my FAVORITE flat iron finishing spray I panicked. It is no easy feat to find this kind of product (flat iron finishing sprays). I found the FX Flat Iron spray at my local Walgreens and I just knew it wouldn't work as well as the Herbal Essences product. I WAS WRONG. This product by FX is waaay better. It sprays a mist on your hair instead of a big wet glob of product. I would not suggest using it with the FX straightening mousse, it made my hair feel dirty and heavy using both products together. All you need is a flat iron and this litle purple bottle of magic. My hair is not naturally straight or curly, it falls in between. FX flat iron makes it look so shiny and naturally straight. So now I use: Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Shampoo, Conditioner and Mousse and finish it off with the FX Flat Iron spray and my flat iron. Yaaay Great Product!

I wasn't too thrilled about this, I mean it didn't really protect my hair and it smelled weird. I did have more shine, but it didn't really protect my hair. I used the chi protection and it helped more and better than this, though the Chi is too expensive. So back to square one for me. :)
