Conair Ceramic Straightener, 2 Inch

when i was searching for hair straightners, unfortunately i came across this model. thinking it will be good i bought it. witht he shipping it was almost $40. I regret is immensely. I wish i hadn't bought it. It's like throwing your money away. after using it for the first time, my hair got damaged. it now has split ends. and also the ceramic is so bad and the whole iron is not smooth. it catches grasps hair and never leave it. i don't recommend anyone this product. please don't buy it. it's simply worst bargain.

I have really thick hair and it was nice to have a 2" to do my hair with. It worked much faster than my 1" did. It does, however, bother me that it doesn't have a heat control or setting. It's not the BEST I could have for my hair, and I do have to do touch ups afterwards with my 1". It snags my hair on occasion and I sometimes accidentally turn it off because the button is in the most inconvenient location, but I do love this. It saves me time and is the cutest color.

This was the first hair straightener/flat iron that I owned. The fuschia color and the dual voltage had me so bamboozled that I did not take note of the size. It is too wide for the length of my hair.

It worked well but it was difficult for me to control it. There is only an on/off button so there is one heat setting. Because of the position of the button I turned it off by mistake by just trying to get a good grip.

One of the heat plates seemed a little shaky.

It is not terrible. I sold it to a coworker. If I did not have an issue with the size I would be comfortable with it.

OVERALL, you get what you pay for.

I purchased this product as a gift. It was advertised as having a removable comb. The comb was not visible in the packaging so I emailed Amazon to inquire about this. They said that the 'comb' was stored under one of the plates in the unit. Therefore, I gave the product as a gift. The recipient called and told me there was no comb with the product. I emailed Conair and they advised that the comb should have been visible in the packaging and should have been attached to the unit. I then contacted Amazon to request a return slip.

I give 1 star to Conair for their product packaging and 1 star to Amazon for their terrible customer service in telling me something that obviously was not true. I have spent far too much of my time on this item. It remains to be seen if I will get over my annoyance when it is time to order something and I think of looking again at the Amazon website.
