I bought this straightener from the mall a little more than the price on amazon but i got some free gifts with it so its fine. I went through maybe 10 different flat irons so far, they either didnt heat up enough or weren't really ceramic, and when i found a ceramic i dropped it few months later and it broke. the Beyond the beauty ceramic iron heats up fairly quick to over 400F and it makes my hair feel so smooth and shiny. the best thing about the BTB product is that i was able to get a life time warranty so when it breaks they replace it for free. and that makes a big difference bc i broke it already and got a new one for FREE!!
