I used to buy the smaller bottle of this product at my local hair salon; I love it! Using it with the straightner it goes with made my hair so silky smooth.

I then bought this one, because I ran out of the other I had purchased at my local hair salon and couldn't make it there to get more.

I'm trying to be open minded; however, something seems different with the formula. Residue covers my straightener (which never happened before); it doesn't smell the same, and it doesn't make my hair silky smooth like the other did.

Supposedly it's the same product. I don't understand why there is a perceived difference.
