Andis 66030 Curved Edge Titanium Flat Iron

I ordered these because I used my mom's "Corioliss ProStyle Titanium Hair Straightening Iron (Black)". I love the way they work but she hated that I asked to borrow them every week (heehee). So I took it upon myself to order them on-line: that was my initial motive. Until me, the avid Amazon shopper, looked up Titanium Flat Irons in general and I found Andis. What initially drew me was the name, I've worked at a Beauty Supply store for years so I knew my brands pretty well. Second was the price, compared to $109~Corioliss ProStyle Titanium Hair Straightening Iron (Black), the $32-36~Andis 66030 Curved Edge Titanium Flat Iron, 1 Inch is a steal, roundabout 1/3 of the price. The decision was made and I ordered these. I'm happy to say that they work the same was as my mom's Corioliss, can't tell the difference at all. The one thing I will say is that when I washed my weave and used these it felt beautiful that night but then like a regular weave the next day. This could be due to the product I put in it recently, and the fact that I used my CHI's this time, that made the weave feel brand new so I'll try it again with the same product and the Andis and update this review. All in all, I'm pleased as punch that I found a flat iron that can make my hair (and weave) feel like I just left the shop, with these, who's need to pay $30> at a salon!!

I searched for a curved edge flat iron for many months and bought this from Amazon, however, after a few uses, I had to return it. Each time I used it my hair would get caught underneath the plates and pull individual strands of my hair. What's worse is it would get caught and not easily release resulting in broken strands of hair. I tried using smaller pieces of hair and the same thing happened. Thankfully, Amazon made the return process very easy with a UPS drop-off label. The transaction was quite painless except for the pulled and broken hair.

I ordered this flat iron after checking out the current reviews, and I must say I am in love! Because they are titanium I mainly use them for my natural Indian sew ins and not on my natural hair because of the amount of heat they emmit. They are quick to heat up and I love them! I would definitely suggest buying them! In addition to the product being great, the flat irons shipped and arrived extremely quickly!
