My wife was nearly taken at the mall by one of those kiosk salespeople who convinced her this would do the trick on her extremely thick unmanageable hair. She had been using one that she never complained about, but was sold on the idea that this one would do a better job and faster.The guy said he would give her a deal at $80. I offered $40 and probably would have paid $60, but he said that was the best he could do. Now if I had a smartphone I wouldn't have had to leave wondering if I blew it. Anyway, there were plenty available on Amazon for less than $80 and my wife is very happy with her unit, which was shipped from overseas. I paid around $37 so I am glad I convinced her to walk away from the kiosk.
Bottom line, these flat irons are better than most, but prices are all over the place, so try 'em out at a kiosk in a mall, but don't buy unless you bring a copy of a one sold here and don't pay more. It only took a week to get shipped to GA.
