I have not had a problem with it, it straightens my hair fine. The last couple of hair straighteners I had would pull my hair but with this one I do not have that problem.
When you close the iron, the plates don't match up and there are small gaps. Not sure what difference this really makes when your hair is wedged in it, but I was put off a little. I've only used it once so far and didn't have the comb i always use (nor had a brush) when flat ironing my hair. Seems to work alright otherwise. My biggest complaint with most flat irons is my hair always seems to get caught in the spaces in the plastic and the plates. No problems with that with this product. Seems to work fine.
